|  MiniWarhouse - Development Progress This is NOT done, but we are looking for something very simple, not overly dark. Free shipping says alot when being used to ship miniatures. more often than not those who order a smaller amount cna end up paying through the nose for delivery. a 20% discount form suggested reatil and free shipping is unheard of and would garner much business for you due to the fact that the whole shipping probelm has been taken care of. The only problem I see with this is the weight of some items. It may cost more to ship them which yeilds a smaller eturn for your business. In the end though, it comes down to what means more to your establishment: the customer or the bottom line.

| Re: MiniWarhouse - Development Progress free shipping would be fantastic but as others have said an unrealistic prospect for those of us outside North America. Depending on costs I wouldn't mind fixed shipping, but then I imagine the people who live closer to the warehouse would end up paying too much- it probably would be a good idea to have a number of fixed shipping quotes. 1 for the USA and Canada and another for International. @r4wr89- the 'user' MiniWarhouse IS Ikarus, or at least thats my impression.

That way, I can buy $100 worth of stuff and save $18. If I wanna buy $50 worth I'm wasting $0.50 (assuming its exactly $7.00) If I wanna buy less than that you could give a cheaper rate. I admit, It would be cool to just buy 1 blister of something and call it an order. But I've never done that, so this is my opinion. So agian, what would the flat rate be, and would there be a cheaper rate for light packages? I don't want to pay $7.00 for a priortiy rate package that would be only $4.60 (under a pound). As much as I despise neal form the Warstore (ask at your own risk- I rant), hes got it going on with his $4.95 flat rate. Something I'm seeing as good in a retailer is a flat rate + free shipping over $100.00 (or better yet $75). Chaos mail order has $8.00 flat rate, and free S&H over $100. Miniature market has free s&h over $75, but the S&H is at cost on orders under that. So if you really want to fueled by gamers, by gamers, for gamers, then MY suggestion is this: Find a combination of all those. Wouldn't it be sweet if the flat rate was $4 and free shipping over like $50? Or $75? You should Only Try this if its good for your buisness though. Sorry to rant, I just thought Id get some information on the block. -Lucky

| Re: MiniWarhouse - Development Progress Well free shipping would be ideal......fixed shipping would be great......and reg shipping would be OK as your prices are low already. The big thing is to make money but not a killing! That is how you make a gamer friendly business without cutting your own throat. Also a "discounted" mini section would be great where you buy a used army and resell it for some profit. Like a consignment firm for minis....and if you can clean and repaint for the cheap you'll make a better bottom line. Thats what I do with my painting. Buy from ebay and repaint and resell. You seem to be doing good on your own but I hope you stay in the green and not the black. If your selling so low how can you have the capital to expand or stay afloat? |
