lmao... though that would get you.

I run with the frost blade and CotS with a runic charm (hiding somewhere... I can't say as Celephus (an opponent of mine) might just find out where he's stashed whilst using stormcaller) as it's a might bit cheaper than with runic weapons, staffs and hairy dandlements

.

krom, where the hell were you a coupla weeks back before i thought i had the list sorted?

i see the sense in what you're saying about the scouts and the gamer in me really wants to take your advise, but the modeller in me is screaming about the psycho-nutbag-hammer-wielding-engine-of-asskickery (tm) model i have planned for this particular WG so its not as easy as it sounds

oh, and i sorted out that double post thing too. next time just use the edit button if you need to add something to your post

wolf pack: the runic staff counts as a ccw as well as a psychic hood, i just checked it. good call on finding a points shave too, loose the smoke on the rhino and make the priest earn his keep. rofl!

edited the list to account for the changes

Oh still make him... I have the modeller in me as well.

Just larger point size games. Two birds and 1 stone... unless you gotta make two stones?

join the club my hairy friend, we have jackets; "modeller 1st. gamer by 2025 if i had started building my army last year!"

i also take forever to build a proper army... that's the downside of wanting to convert every model you'll put on the table!

cheers!

Yeah yer right...single handed weapon...hmmm...go figger...(makes ya wonder why they modeled the damn thing with a pyschic hood and a rune staff in the first place...LOL)but then again...I have the Njal model...and he has the rune staff in one hand and the CotS in the other...so what can I say...it's just the sentimentalist in me I guess...need to get the newer fig...then go conversion nuts and see what I can come up with....maybe I'll do a scratch built Termi Rune priest... Frostblade, runic charm and a wolf tooth necklace and Rune blade, for those nasty daemonses...LOL

someone at gw needs to resculpt the njal model. it is a fantastic sculpt but it looks a bit dated after 15 years on the shelves. same goes for ragnar and ulrik too.

I agree, although classic...I would like to see new versions with a little more action to their poses...like having Ragnar in full charge...

On another note though...I have to concur with Krom on the RP...keeping him simple will probably be best...

I still think he should have the RS as it is part of what makes him a Rune priest...being his hood and all I mean...but then giving him something else to balance out his attacks/ defences...if yer gonna use him for all out fighting...and not just supporting the squad...do you go ranged or keep it close and personal?...guess that part is up to you my hairy friend...

well as he's in the blood claws squad he'll need to bring something to lay the smackdown thats what the rune weapon is for. with that and the pelt he can spoil the day of any IC he comes accross. the staff is there to shut down those evil thousand son sorcerors and space elf farseers

It's all well and good, but there is one major thing against us when using these weapons. LD9 anyone? All other psykers are LD10. I know it's only 1 different, but it makes a difference.

I totally agree with the whole rune staff thing it is fluff (I've also got Njal... ah the old days ).

In fact I may model a staff on my rune priest in anticipation of the new 'dex, but not use it until then. Rune weapon or frost blade? FB every time cheaper and you'll rarely see a situation when a rune axe really comes into play. But then again, horses for course. I say tomato, you say tomato... Doesn't come across online that one.

I'm just a fluff head.. I can't make a librarian or equivalent without a force weapon (or equivalent). Just feels odd. Like a chaplains crozius or rosarius, it's his badge of office.

No arguement from me there. I think that's spot on, and I love the look of rune staffs or force weapons. I just think that maybe for gaming purposes not use it yet have it modelled with it for aesthetics.

I am soooo glad I'm not the only one that feels that way...just doesn't seem natural not to have a Rune Priest without a Rune Staff...although still tryig to figger out why they modeled the Bolt Pistol Holster on him if he already has the allowed two hand weaps...of course we ARE talking GW and 2nd edition here so I guess it just goes to show that at one time they too were MODELERS and not just money hungry gits...LMAO
