| well, as i can't get my hands on the proper ork models i need, i'm turning to chaos for this year's astronomi-con. so here they are; the angels of origin. and off-shoot of the word bearers who believe in the idea that knowledge and true understanding, along with a healthy dose of fealty & sacrifice to chaos will lead to ascension! i've tried to stay true to the word bearer background of using few actual chaos marines while letting the summoned daemons act more as terror troops who can be readily sacrificed... (as can the possessed!) the 1st havoc squad will also be modeled as a pack of fallen space wolves who've been seduced to the ideals of the angels and their dark apostle! HQ: Dark Apostle (Chaos Lord) w/Bolt pistol, Frag & Krak grenades, Acursed crozius (Daemon weapon + Mark of Tzeentch + Personal Icon), Melta bombs & Wings. Cost; 180 pts Elites: 1 Terminator Champion w/Pair of lightning claws 1 Terminator w/Heavy flamer & Chainfist 2 Terminators w/Combi-Bolter/Plasma gun & Power fist 2 Terminators w/Combi-bolter & Power weapon. | High Lord of Terra ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Looks pretty good there Stitch. My only concern is your units are some what small. Just a few causulties and it brings them below scoring status and there is not speed to your army. I assume that you are hoping that your Lord survives long enough to get up to the enemy and then using his Icon to drop deamons and Termies all over the place. I might find some room for a rhino or two (they are only 35 pts for Chaos!) or bump up your squads to 7 models that way they have to kill 4 instead of 3 to take away there ability to be a scoring unit. Just a few thought, Servo |

| actually, you lose your scoring unit status when suffer more than 50% casulties - so even numbered squads are better as they retain their scoring status much more efficiently! but yes, the small numbers are worrysome... the only good thing is that astro tables are typically chalk-full of terrain so hopefully if i can keep everyone together, i can drop the daemon bomb and lock upto 3 enemy squads in combat! (i only need to last a round or two - just long enough to get the lord + termies stuck in...) i've left out transports though because astro also has a healthy number of escalation missions. and without that handy re-roll i'm acustomed to, i don't like the thought that i could very well come-in 100% piecemeal... so i'll footslog and hope that my marines can soak-up enough with their good armour. cheers!
