Default Angels Encarmine Armoured Assault

Well i was reading a thread over at the BnC called "way of the water warrior"
and this guy was using 2 Land Raiders in 1000pts so i thought about it and its viable and can win games. Now i like him favor the Lascannon Land Raider above the crusader as the range makes it a more viable option so i came up with this list and i plan to buy the models for it after my current project.

1000pts exactly. Thoughts?

Also for it to go to 1500pts i would make the following additions to the list above:

Bike Squadron Sarko
+2 Bikers
2x Meltagun
Power Weapon

175pts

how could it be improved WITHOUT removing more than one raider as i have my heart set on a 3raider army but will compromise.

Personally I can't stand Techmarines, so I would definately drop him. They just never seem to make up for their points. I would think about droping the Melta bombs, with 3 landraiders I don't think you will have a problem with Armour mix into that the fact that you are bringing to the field a few Attack Bikes I think you should be AOK. Make room for a flamer and a power weapon in Tactical Squad Gregoris. With your left over points I would invest in Extra Armour for the Land Raiders and maybe some thing extra shiny for your Librarian.

3 landraiders?
thats 750 pts that could be put into other things
1 land raider bare boned = 250pts
2 TL lascannon razorbacks w/o upgrades = 180pts
that would equal the lascannons and give you 70 extra points for other things
i dont field LRs until i get up to the 3000 pt mark they are to many points
against a conventional list 3 lucky shots = 750 vps thats half the point total

Normally I would be totally with you WMR, but he did say that he wanted the LR's pretty much no matter what. That is the only reason why I didn't say anything about them.

I am a little more likely to take one in even a 2000 point game than what WMR is saying, but he does make some valid points.

As long as you are prepared to either be A) really lucky against anti-tank weaponery or B) prepared to have a lot of fun, but not win very often.

most conventional lists don't pack enough anti armor for three LR's.

Erus you whacked it on the head there i plan to shove enough AV14 at the enemy that they just crumble and panic.
The techmarine is there for the "lucky" shots that immobilise or destroy one of my weapons and in the BA codex he is awesome. Artificer, power weapon bolt pistol, grenades all come standard remember.
He can hold his own in combat which is useful, the only downside is that he isnt an independant character so he is on his own. Ill probably hide him behind one of the LR's and hope for the best. the general idea is to get out and either charge or rapid fire out of the LR's, the death company will just do err stuff yea stuff and since im using only the free ones i didnt list them as i have spent 0 points on them. The attack bikes will more than likely carry heavy bolters as i willl have 6 lascannons already and the bike squad can give tanks a headache as well.
Overall it is designed for forward movement, however this movement needs to be careful as i havn't got enough models on the board to waste a unit.

I may replace the plasma gun with the power weapon and flamer while dropping the meltabombs from the other as that suggestion makes a lot of sense to me.
