| Corporal ![]() | Your dreadnought has 3 arms...lol it can only have 2... I think that your Ravenwing and Deathwing armies look rather traditional, and flavourful. I don't think they'll perform as well as you'd like them to, but as long as you have fun, thats what matters. Your drop pod army looks like it would be fun, but I've never really been a fan of drop pods, too unreliable. Again, it'll be fun, if thats what you're going for. I've toyed with the ideas of all three of these armies, but decided that they work best together. Dark Angels drop pods cost more than Rhino's now, so they're out of the question for me at least. Check out my Tactica: Dark Angels thread for more ideas.

| Lieutenant ![]() | DOH! I fixed that mistake on my Dread! The whole point of all of these lists is to have fun and these are all going to be fun lists!

| A couple of little points: Regarding your DW army: I suggest fielding Sammael with a pair of L-claws instead of the Sword of Silence and storm bolter. I gather he's riding in one of the LRCs with the "Assault" squad and the Chaplain. Also, I'd stick at least one guy in that squad with a power fist or a thunder hammer. Otherwise, if it winds up in combat with a dreadnought or MC, it'll be in a world of hurt. A couple points about the Drop Pod force: first, unless you're hot to use Azzy, I'd drop both him and the Command Squad, and instead field a termie-armored IC with a Termie Command Squad. If you think about it, the 5-man Command Squad you're sporting here costs almost as much as a 5-man Termie squad, and Azzy is frightfully expensive. If you fielded Belial instead, you'd probably come out ahead, points-wise. As for the Company Vets, ditch all (or at least most) of the L-claws. Equip the sergeant with a power fist, and instead of the L-claws, sprinkle in a plasma gun and some combi-weapons. The idea with the drop pod army is to do a lot of damage the turn they arrive. Since they can't assault out of the pod, they have to do that by shooting. I know the DA drop pod entry doesn't state that you can't assault out of the thing, but you'd better assume that's an oversight, otherwise you're setting yourself up to generate a lot of arguments. Finally, give your dread a heavy flamer. If it's in a drop pod, the heavy flamer is totally worth having. |

| Lieutenant ![]() | Wait, dont you mean Belial, and Actually, it sounds better to run him with the pair of Lightning claws and yes he rides in one of the LRC's with the assault terminators! I have also thought about putting one guy in each of those squads with a thunder hammer and storm shield, but i am not sure yet. I really do want to run Azrael in that drop pod army, mainly because terminators cant take the drop pods, they teleport and that doesnt fit my idea of running only power armor and no terminators in that list. I might drop some of the pairs of Lighting Claws, But I at least want one. I like Lightning claws and I am just going to have fun with these lists, I really do not mind if I lose a lot and I want to run these lists. I am going to take some of your pointers because they will help the list out! Thanks for the input. Is that it though?

| ah much better. i really like the drop pod army. it will make your enemy waste a turn while your guys are hurtling towards the earth at break neck speeds. also this will let you place your men where you want them. i just have one question: how many men are in your lion guard? actually i think many of the last 2 list will do very good against most enemies especially guard and tau. the only army that i can see might have some big trouble with is the ravenwing however if you can just get the main opposistion to die in the first turns the rest should be easy. as i said these are some really good lists and i would hate to go up against them. as a matter of fact i will enact this rule: from this day forth if gent and i are ever in a battlefield he can not use these list as i will be massacred. | Lieutenant ![]() | The Lions Guard is 5 men, the standard command squad. I dont know if these lists will massacre you, I have to get votes for that to happen! Oh, and by the way, you would rather face my 4000 point combined deathwing and ravenwing list then. i must warn you, that list is especially nasty. 2 Hq choices, 6 Troop choices, 3 Fast attack choices, and 3 Land Raider Crusaders! Thanks for the compliments MS! I just cant wait for these armies to reach the battlefield!
