HQ Iron Father Medias (Techmarine via 'Scions of Mars' trait): 166 pts. Power weapon(free), bolt pistol, Servo-Harness (Twin-Linked Plasma Pistol, Flamer, Servo-Arm), Auspex(free), bionics (fluffy necessity), Signum, Jump Pack (c'mooooonn! ya know why! look at him!), Terminator honors, Combat Shield. My reading here is base 5, 6 for botl pistol, power weapon, 7 on charge? Or am I wrong? First Chaplain Decius: 135 pts. Terminator Armor, Rosarius, Crozius Arcanum, Storm Bolter Elites: Venerable Dreadnought 'A' (0-1 limit removed. 'Honor your Wargear'): 153 pts. | The Emperor's Mercy ![]() ![]() ![]() | and i chuckle...haha it screams cheese to some, but to me i think it's great...haha. imagine: an HQ flying at you full speed...with 7 attacks on the charge? HELLO. :] anyways..i don't yet have time to look this over, but in general i think it's probably pretty solid. personally [don't have to take this into account at all] i don't like bionics, but on the HQ it's alright. i'll return to read it more thoroughly later. :] -ant

Elites: dreadnaught-fine techmarine-very cool and fluffy. any vehicle is pretty much gonna get fixed, and you do have alot of em so its worth it Terminator Assault Squad-so evil...mwahahahhahaaa Troops Scout Squad:fine Scout Squad: 158 pts. i say leave it as it is. its a close combat scout squad, you want it to have a seargent with a P.fist or P.weapon. why wouldnt you? add bionics ![]() Tactical Squad 1: DONT drop T.honors and bionics, DO drop P.fist. this applies to all tac squads. this is for fluff reasons, correct? if so, i dont see why not. however, the power fists would probrobly get wasted. Tactical Squad 2: DONT put a lascannon. lascannons get wasted in tac squads. plasma cannon is fine. Tactical Squad 3: heavy bolter is fine. disagree w/ u again r4wr Tactical Squad 4: fine Fast Attack Land Speeder Squadron: i agree w/ r4wr. 3 squads of one is much more flexible, and they dont all have to be set up all at once =D Assault Squad (for the Iron Father): GODLY. though broodlord w/ retinue would pwn them still ;D Heavy Support Predator Annihilator: watch out infantry Dreadnought: fine. be sure not to drop him in front of some lascannons ![]() Devastator Squad: nice. lots of bodies as padding for HW troops, though i would drop the PW. y doesnt this guy have bionics though? also, wouldnt lascannons be a better choice for these? you dont seem to have alot of anti-tank in this, exept for the venerable dread. you could consider adding lascannons on the razorback. as this list is mainly for fluff (isnt it?) i can see why you would keep in the bionics n stuff. lascannons on tac squads is not very effective at all. the las will want to shoot at the tanks while wasting the effectiveness of the rest of the squad. plasma guns isnt a bad idea though. missle launchers are the best heavy weapon to give tac squads however. btw erus grats on the promotion ;D

| Thanks for the congrats m'man... The p. fist I will loose for the tactical squads, now that I think about it. This will let me add bionics onto the devastator sergeant. This is not really so much a fluff army as it is like my Emperors Children, an army I would really love to play for fluff and more reasons besides! I can break the two different types of land speeders into two slots, but not three. I do have to obey the FOC. I might add lascannons in here, now that I think about it. The pts. should be there now. The sarge has a power weapon, as do all but scout sarges (except my kamikaze one), because I always like to have one, just in case. I might, pts. allowing, add las cannons onto the razorback, but I had hesitated because it would make it more of a fire magnet than I want it to be. If I have the pts. I may add in a plasma gun to augment the plasma cannon toting squad, any thoughts there? Thanks for the advice guys! |

Blog Entries: 1 | Rule check(sorry someone must): LS squad can't be broken up as Iron Hands have eye to eye puts a 0-1 limit on Land speeder squads the heavy support dread can't have furious assault because its not verable and if it was venerable then it needs to be an elite choice not a heavy support choice Iron Father can have the pack though it will be a modeling challange ![]()

The HS dread I am challenging you on. The exact wording of the advatnage 'Heed the Wisdom of the Ancients' (I kept thinking honor your wargear... DOH!) follows: Dreadnoughts may be taken as Heavy Support or as Elites. Any Dreadnoughts selected as Elites must be Venerable and the 0-1 limit is removed. May not be selected by a chapter that has taken Aspire to Glory. Also, reading for Venerable: As well as fearsome warriors, the accumulated wisdom of a Dreadnought's centuries of battle is an invaluable resource, and their vast experience meanss that they have fought in almost every conceivable form of engagement. One Dreadnought per detachment may be upgraded to Venerable. Venerable Dreadnoughts are extremely hard to kill and whenever they suffer a glancing or penetrating hit you may ask your opponent to re-roll the result on the Vehicle Damage tables. However, you must accept the second result, even if it is worse! Where in either of those ruling does it disallow the taking of a Heavy Support Dreadnought as Venerable? The ONLY limitation on Venerable is that it was 0-1, but ' HWOA' ignores that. Only other point I could see would be in 'HWOA' itself, however it only states that any dreadnoughts taken as elites MUST be venerable. So i'm good. The Iron Father will likely be done by modeling the servo-harness attachments in odd places, like sprouting off arms, shoulders, hips, etc.. Thanks! | |

| The Emperor's Mercy ![]() ![]() ![]() | hha yea, that guy, insaniak, is incredible. i always stop by that forum to get inspired. i tried something for an elite techmarine, but i got lazy and just used a DA metal body so i wouldn't have to plastic card/GS all the metal plating and whatnot. i also used parts from an old engine and old space shuttle model kit for fun bits-my techmarine doesn't have a claw, but he has a sharp pointy soldering/welding arm, it looks alright. not terribly happy with it, but i can post it if you want to see it ? :] good luck again!
