Blog Entries: 3 | General Rules: Please understand that 40kTerra is a COMMUNITY of gamers, not just a normal 'post and read' site. The following rules are general guidelines for accepted behavior on 40kTerra.com forums. We list these specific items, so you can have a general understanding of what is and isn't allowed. There is no realistic way to itemize each and every single thing and new situations can arise in immediate exclusions and/or additions to the rules mentioned below. It is at the discretion of the moderator and/or administrators to ultimately decide if a user's actions on the forums are appropriate. This means that items do NOT have to be explicitly stated here to be considered a violation of the forum rules. If you feel that a moderator/administrator has wrongfully judged your behavior and/or actions then you have the option to appeal "once" to an alternate forum administrator. The outcome to your appeal is final and any further active objections will result in a warning. Appeals MUST contain a concise description of what you are being accused of and why you feel that the mod/admin's decision is wrong. Also, as much as you may disagree, please DO NOT write your appeal out of emotional distress or anger (vulgar remarks, rudeness, etc). If you want us to be fair and reasonable, then we expect you to be mature in your response. The rules is just a way to prevent people from taking away from the purpose of the site - which is to just enjoy and talk about the game. We would like to remind you, again, that it is just a game. Thanks, 40kTerra Administration 1. NO PROFANITY Don't bypass the swear filter. You WILL be warned. This includes images. 2. NO RACIST OR OTHERWISE HATEFUL MESSAGES! (Subject matter of a racist/stereotypical tone or topics that will incite hateful responses will not be tolerated.) 3. NO SEXUALLY EXPLICIT MATERIAL (Just think about your little sister, or your little bro that might be coming to this forum, and just keep it CLEAN) 4. NO ADVERTISEMENTS Advertising of another website, product, and/or service via a new topic is strictly prohibited. If you wish to negotiate a paid advertisement contract/campaign with 40kterra.com, then please contact 40kterra@gmail.com. 5. NO ADVERTISEMENT SPAMMING (If it is evident that a member's primary intention on 40kTerrass forums is to advertise another website/referals, they will be banned immediately. This goes for posts, PM's, signatures, avatars, etc. Posts/Topics will be deleted.) Spamming also includes referral links, such as Free Ipods, Free PSP, etc. Also, we allow you to link your favorite website and/or personal website in your signature, but you must keep the font color and size to the default size. Linking sites that are similar in genre to 40kTerra.com is strictly prohibited.) 6. NO SOLICITING FOR DONATIONS (Do NOT solicit for donations for ANY reason. There is NO exception.) 7. NO DUPLICATE ACCOUNTS (If we catch you with multiple accounts, we will delete all of your additional accounts, and potentially your main account as well, depending on the nature of the violation.) 8. OBEY THE AVATAR & SIGNATURE RULES Avatar: coming Signatures: coming (You can right-click an image and hit "properties" to figure out width, height, and size. Its your job to know what size your signature image is. We will Delete it or ask you to if it violates.) 9. READ AND FOLLOW FORUM SPECIFIC RULES Some forums and subforums have additional set of rules. They're usually pinned at the top, so please read them carefully. 10. NO POST/TOPIC SPAMMING (Do not post the same topic and/or post in multiple forums. We realize sometimes this happens within the same topic due to technical issues but other than that this is strictly prohibited.) 11. NO PM SPAMMING Spamming unsolicited messages through the use of the PM (Private Message) system on 40kTerra.com is strictly prohibited. You will be warned and/or banned. 12. MINIMUM POST LENGTH Posts must be 20 characters or longer. DO NOT circumvent this rule by posting "20 characters" or the like. 13. GENERAL ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOR If it is evident that your general behavior on 40kTerra.com is to be disruptive in nature, then you will be warned and/or banned. This includes (but not limited to) constant instigation of arguments among/between other members, persistent flaming of others, persistent expression of anti 40kTerra sentiments, etc. 14. TRADING SECTION All members must make 50 posts before they are allowed to use the trading section. CHATBOX RULES: NO IMAGES NO OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE NO SPAMMING (Constant chatbox messaging) All other forum rules applies as well. Usernames & Registration 1. You shall provide an accurate and correct email address on registration. Only administrators have access to these. In addition, all information you choose to give in your public profile shall be accurate, and updated regularly. 2. You may only have one username, and once account active at a time. You may not operate under different Member ID's at any time. 3. You may not impersonate any person in the community, or world. 4. You will not impersonate a member of staff, or staff member in the community. Posting Advice and Tips 1. When posting, make sure it is in the correct forum, and has appropriate detail, and content. 2. When replying, think of an appropriate response, do not respond because you can, respond when you have something worth saying. Make sure everything is readable, and makes sense before clicking the reply button. 3. Read all sticky topics, they usually have important information in them. 4. If you find yourself in a difficult situation, leave your posts alone: do not edit them, and simply report the topic. 5. Do not diffuse situations yourselves, report the problem, and let our staff handle them. 6. Treat people as you would like to be treated. This is the Golden Rule. 7. When posting, be polite. A polite post will get more results, especially when you are requesting something. Staff Members. The "RED" staff members are called Administrators, They manage information regarding member's personal information and act as "President" of the forum. The administrator who is "root", or "Member Number 1" acts as head of the forum, he is the EMPEROR, and is responsible for content within. That person controls all registrees, and has final say on all matters within the forum. You have agreed, upon registration, that you will abide by the administrator's decisions, although agreement with them is left at your discretion. The Administrators have the final say on everything, however in the event where you feel it is unjust, you may voice your personal opinion PRIVATELY, not PUBLICALLY. The staff members with "PURPLE" usernames, are Global Moderators, and can moderate ALL forums. They act under instruction from administrating personnel, and may: lock, move, rename, split, merge, or bump any topic they see good reason for doing so. They may also use their perception, and judgement to: ban, suspend, moderate, or warn any member they see needing this attention. They may suspend members for a period of time as they see fit, and you will respect their decisions. You will recieve an explaination, and you reserve the right to demand an explanation if one is not given. Please contact the staff member who carried out the action. The staff members with "GREEN" usernames, info will come soon. You may oppose any action taken towards you, or anyone else. Contact a red username only. Please include your account as to what has happened, and a URL to the post, or evidence. It will up to be the administrator's discretion whether to back, or disagree with you, and you will respect this decision.

Blog Entries: 1 | flaming is intentionally saying something, out of anger or meaness, that you know other's will find offensive and that will start a row. the online equililent of loosing your temper trolling is saying stuff that tries to provoke others into flaming you, attempting to bait others into starting an arguement. at least that's my understanding of the terms. |

| Patron Saint of Leicester ![]() ![]() ![]() | As far as I have seen, the main thing GW frowns heavily upon is giving out points costs. They publish summaries for all armies on the GW site that give the statlines for all units. Points costs aren't really published. But, as Ikarus said asking for help is ok, as long as the answer isn't given verbatim from the Codex or Army Book in question. Also, sending scans of GW materials does violate copyright laws.
