" I would first like to say to all - Thanks for the support you have given to this site thus far. We have made it through year one and now venturing to year two. We have seen a large amount of growth to our site and we can only still see further growth and expansion! So I have brought to unveil to thee the XMAS gifts in which I would like to give back to the community for being here for me and supporting the big E and making 40kTerra the successful online community as we are today. This is still yet the first step to our site but this can only mark the year of 08' to be even better and a chance for 40kTERRA to make more NOISE. We are here to show the world that 40kTERRA is a community for gamers, POWERED BY GAMERS. It is through every member and contribution that has allowed us to be where we are. Thanks again all for making this happen. From- The Big 'E' Ikarus & The 40kTerran Staff Now lets kick some A$$ in 08' WAAAAAGGGHH! Here is whats coming to 40kTerra. NEW 40kTERRA DESIGN LAYOUT: (W.I.P. Beta Design, not final)  (W.I.P. Beta Design, not final) This new design will be coming around XMAS day. A lot of resources was taken to be made to get this design but nonetheless we have it coming! This is 40kTerra MK.II 40kTERRA T-SHIRTS :: (W.I.P. IRON HOBBYIST (Blogger's Contest) : Click Here for start up Info (Coming Soon): While killing on the battlefield is nice.. thats only half the game! THERE IS THE HOBBY SIDE! You must become the IRON HOBBYIST! Escalation club will be a place to motivate you to get you and your army working! Simply use the Blog system to record your W.I.P. Write up your articles and show your progress. Every 2 months, members will nominate a few individuals who they feel has written and worked. Then a vote will be taken and the sole winner will become the IRON HOBBYIST of the season. In the end all winning bloggers (5 of them total) will be then re-voted to see who has I.H. OF THE YEAR. In addition, a Wild Card 6th man chosen by the people will be added to this - based on his or her hard work to the hobby. Winners every 2 months will recieve GW prizes (T.B.A.) IRON HOBBYIST of the Year will win additional prizes and title of Hobbyist of 08. CONVERSION CONTEST 08'd Click Here fore more Information: CONTEST 08 Contest Conversion Details: See Link for more. 1. You need to have a WIP blog of your entry. 2. Your Start Day is Jan 1st 2008 3. You must document your start (see painting Comp.) 4. You must be done by February 28th 2008 5. This Is For Conversions Only. 1st Prize - 10 Rep 2nd Prize - 5 Rep 3rd Prize - 2 Rep you get to do whatever you want, but you only get 1 entry. The competition is going to be run over February 08 and marked for two weeks after that. Entries have to be painted in February and a post needs to be made with the unfinished mini next to a newspaper/teletext/this forum with recent post. The mini can be any make or size but must be a single mini. They can also be converted but in this comp it is purely the painting that is being marked. The marking is going to be self judged by the contestants with each entry being made into a thread and contestants and ONLY contestants marks will count (this is to ensure each entry has the same amount of people marking it). Contestants cannot mark there own mini. There will also be some extra bonus awards on offer TBA. The prize will be, 20 reps and banner for the winner 15 reps and banner for second place extra bonus awards will carry 3 reps each. The area's that will be marked out of 10 are: Colour (how well the colours are working) Base (goes without saying) Atmosphere (how well the mini works in it's fluff eg, 40K universe) Technique (This is to mark if techniques have been used on highlighting, eyes, etc) Overall Skill (this is the main one, as this is all the above put together and a score is given to how well the painter has put it all together) If you would like to enter or have any questions, let me know in this thread. Battlefield 40k is essentially is simply a challenge game of numerically and statistically refined warfare. This is practically 'Math-Hammer'. Battlefield40k bolsters members who make up army lists and challenges another individual. Then spectators will look at the lists and decide who they think will win the battle. Spectators of war then analyze both the scenario of the Battlefield and the Army lists of both generals and state their point of views and vote for the general who they think will win the battle. Essentially this is: ARMY LIST v. ARMY LIST BATTLES Think of Online 40k, this is a 40k Online Simulation that allows you to play an online tabletop game in real-time versus another live person! NEW USERGROUP: The Lodge (Coming Soon) NEW PROJECTS: Trade n Post - Trading Site This is the upcoming trading site that will be a subsidiary to 40kTerra under the 40kNetwork. More details to come! | If it helps by the way, I can still write stuff for The Inqisitor I brought my laptop with me to my mums for Christmas, and can connect to the internet round my Girlfriends house =] so its all good.
