 |  Language Rules I know that alot of people like to use txt speak for ease and speed, but in the not-so-far future, we're gonna get memebers who dont use English as a first language. As a result, as of now, please dont use txt speak. If you do, you'll be reminded, but as ever, persistant ignorance of rules will be punished. Thanks.

| To answer everyone's questions. This: "OMFG tats kl" is unacceptable, and anything longer is also unacceptable. This, however: "Yeah, nice lol" is acceptable. Limit it to maybe just for stuff like 'lol' and 'omg' etc, but not contanstly mind.

| I agree with that idea. There are very few terms that I can tolerate, and those are generally things such as "lol" (it's easier than saying hahahahahahahaha) and things such as AFAIK and IMHO because they're simple. When it comes to people who simply can't spell (kewl/kool; u; pwn) I have a very limited tolerance. I've even been known not to reply to people when they use terms like that  But yes, I agree with the limiting of txt/net speak. It's infuriating, and even for people who speak English it can become very hard to read at times. 4 ex, hv u eva trid 2 rd when ppl spk like dis? Much hatred to netspeak. Ranting over

I usually try to use english with as little abreviations as possible, but with the mediocre keyboard and my typing speed habits, i do default to "u" and stuff often. note that i see this happen all the time and i dont mind: "hey you" becomes "he yyou" due to stickyboarding, as im a victim of that

| i also abhore net speak and so i welcome this new rule it makes sense considering we're an international forum, plus my head won't hurt trying to figure out what the heck someone's trying to say!though, i also support the idea of having a list of abriviations/40k slang that is acceptable... things like IIRC, IMHO/IMO, 'dex and such. if we write up a list with the term and what it means as a sticky, would that be a favourable idea?! cheers!
