IT HAS CAME TO MY ATTENTION,


There has been a TON of turbulence going around the forums and its a bit troubling. I understand that theres tension going on. Things are changing and we have to all grow up.

I'm not particularly happy with all this tension and people getting all riled up and going vicious on each other. No, I'm not supportive of that. This is a COMMUNITY. Lets not turn into crazy people, or such.


I deeply ask patience in one and all of everyone. Things will be changing around here, as we adapt to our changing times.


I will be updating the site in various ways. Aesthically, and also internally.

I will reshuffle the forums a bit as well and also the Staff will be re-organized.


IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH PEOPLE, YOU COME TO ME.

I MAY BE BUSY, BUT I AM THE EMPEROR, I WILL MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A VOICE.


If you have a fight with a staff, talk to me.

I apologize for being busy, I have been gone as it is my Senior Year in High School and there is much to do in this year. I got accepted into all the colleges I wanted to go and applied to, and I will be going to my state's university. I know I have been negligent to the peoples of Terra, and have not been here as an administrator, site owner, and an active member of the community. I have also been slow on delivering my promises for the website and what not. I am getting less busy now as things are wrapping up. I just don't want to see Terra going downhill as we all have put much time and resources into making this community.


I ask that you bear patience with me, and endure. We have suffered hard hits from our own kind, and I ask people to please stop this forum wars and lets just talk about 40k~

praise be the emperor!! this is our forum all of us, from the oldest admins to the newest members, a place wher we come to hangout and chat about the games we love, with people that share our enthusiasm and fanatic love of said games. we might not always agree and we might even get in confrontations with one another from time to time but remember that is only one person of many in the comunity. we are all here for the same resons so lets remember that and enjoy ourselves.

Not even out of high school yet and you have one of the best forms for 40k on the web! Not to shabby and being the Emperor I do believe that you are entitled to doing some venting every once and a while.

Well I am the same and do not agree with flame wars.....I think some of the actions of late by some of the members are uncalled for but it is my opinion and mine alone. I really do wish this site would evolve and become a greater site than i can imagine, and i can imagine HUGE things. I will agree to stick close and weather this out. I want to make this site great! This is my pledge to this site. Feel free to change the name and use it.

whoa there DK, don't start cracking heads just yet

little conflicts like the ones we've endured recently are inevitable when ever you get a group of people interacting, it's human nature and more or less completely unavoidable. actually, it's a testament to the spirit of terra that we don't get them more often. and have you noticed how quickly all's forgive afterwards? magic!

there are certain freedoms that exist here on Terra, like the leniency on off-topic posting that has created the sence of commraderie that we all love so much, that occasionally can lead to these flare-ups but i for one would rather have the occasional disagreement than be restricted to only posting in a certain way. the alternative can be seen on other forums where off-topics are discouraged, and i'm sure you'll agree that they feel very different from Terra.

the cost for such a wonderful freedom is that sometimes it can be taken too far. mostly, terrans are good at keeping things in perspective but from time to time, when debate becomes heated or comments are taken out of context, it needs a slightly firmer hand. in fact much of a Terran mod's efforts go towards maintaining the delicate balance between strictly enforced order and complete anarchy. so i beg you of all, next time you see a member of staff intervine in a discussion, pause to consider the reason for it rather than objecting straight away. realise that we're attempting to preserve the spirit we've all come to value so much and forgive us any slip-ups we might make along the way.

Yahoo has a point. This isn't a game. The game is a hobby where more often than not, most of your frustration can be taken out by pounding your enemy's army with artillery fire, we haven't got that particular release here. This is a forum about the game where gamers (most of whom have a lot of passion for anythign and everything they are involved in) rub shoulders and generally butt heads. No-one is going to go through the Emperor, or a mod, if they can avoid it. It's childish (Mom! Timmy's yelling at me!), time consuming, messy, round-a-bout and rarely solves anything.

If a disagreement boils over into outright flaming on threads, then Mods and all can intervene to their hearts desire while the lurkers pass the popcorn. Otherwise, the best advice I can give in any argument that gets out hand would be to take it to PM, or to the chat and thrash it out. Its not great, but if it gets people onto the chat, so much the better.

One of the most erroneous quotes I have ever seen in a movie. (Saw it again this weekend past for the umpteenth time). Pirates of the Caribbean didn't open until 1975 or 1976. WDW opened in October, 1971. I went for the first time (being the native Floridian I am, living 35 miles "down the road") in November, 1971. Everything worked then. Of course, I was only 7 then, and the only thing I really remember was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

This site has NO problems compared to Disney's day-to-day operations. We have it made here. Thanks, Ikarus, and the rest of the Admin. You guys do your jobs very well.
