Default The Way It Works

From My talks with ikarus, this is the way that this will work:


Think about the Battlefield 40k System, but make it Warhammer Fantasy style.

All posting and voting will follow the same way it normally was done in BF 40k.


League Information:


1 Warbands League
Up to and 500 Points
Use this to help you Make Your Armies as these are the Rules!

2 Competitve League
Up to 5000 Points Lists are Required to Follow all Warhammer Armies Book Rules

3 Actual Gameplay
YOUR ARMY: Also up to 5000 points, (or more if you have that much.)

For now lists will come to me.
Post a challenge and get a partner and see how your tactics Fare in the OLD WORLD!

The problem is fantasy has much more chance involved in the games.
Every time you fire a war machine there a chance it'll blow up.

And if you loose five men from a twenty strong unit theres a chance it'll cause a big chunk of your army to run in panic.

Not to mention deployment and movement are far more important.
I don't see how it can be possible to show army deployment and terrain without drawing up a CGI map for every game.

Thats being worked on actually. *grins* Might be a month or so, but it is in the works!

True.. But this one is, if we do it, to have unit markers, troop summaries when you mouse over, etc.. Also might include range of fire when you mouse over.. Just depends on who I can rope into helping me!

What can i do to help, could be we can play say 1 turn a week and keep an ongoing record for a HUGE battle (campaign perhaps?)

that we could do, and with this idea do 40K even. Now, keep this in mind... This may only be a drag and drop to put image bits into a frame and post or some such... And is mainly in case some Cutsodes aren't image creation savvy.

Well, I am a Professional Graphic designer at a newspaper (dont count the map. i made it and about 20 basic scenery pieces in about 10 mins) if i can help in any way, please let me know.

Hmm... as we only have 1 checked Chaos list out of 2, we might as well just wait for the new 'dex to come out. That will give enough time to finish off checking the lists (I'll send another list to you, Stubber, sorry for the delay, and please can the rest of the Custodes please select another list to check!) and we can start it!

on an aside note:
I'm gonna take a closer look at the BF40k/F rules and system.
I hope i can make a java-based interactive map (for 40k and for fantasy) using my next schoolyear for programming class =]

don't count on it though. i have no clue how hard it is, how to link java with 40kterra server (because game info must be saved on the server and not the user's/loader's computer) and how hard GW will come down on my ass if i made it...

But my aim:
overhead turn based strategy of 40k/Fantasy, even if i omit all the dice rolls and just include movement/actions/casualties and such..

anyway back on topic. don't depend on me for this =P if it works you can have it if it doesnt...well another faild project for torq

the dice rolls are fairly easy to integrate, syncing the roll results and causing that action would be the hard part. I'm trying it, but, it's not working so great, lol./
