SPECIAL RULES Talons of Deliverance: Created in the depths of Mars' forges these lovingly crafted weapons were originally designed to be the basis of the wargear for a sub-set of the Adeptus Custodes, but upon the meeting between the Emperor of mankind and his evasive son they were gifted to the Raven Lord as a symbol that his Legion would be the Master of Mankind's strong and shadowed Talons. Count as a pair of Master-Crafted Lightning Claws Raven Armour: Crafted in secret by an unknown craftsmen, though it is whispered it could be either of his brothers Vulkan or Ferrus Manus, this armour is so liquid black as to almost bend light round it in such a fashion as to make it difficult to focus properly on the wearer. Losing none of its awesome protectiveness in its unique property it is still a solid wall of admantium and ceramite that can resist virtually any weapon. Counts as a 2+ armour save and any model wishing to shoot Corax has their weapons range reduced by 6" as the liquid blackness distorts their attempts to target accurately. Never There...: With his training as a slave and guerrilla fighter in the depths of the mines on Deliverance Corax has a preternatural perception of his surroundings and anything that could pose a threat within it. His reflexes do not approach that of his brother Alpharius but quite often an enemy has attempted to attack Corax simply to find he has moved out of harm's way before they could bring their weapons to bear. Grants a 3+ invulnerable save. Wings of the Aquila: Unlike a number of his Brothers Corax emphasised rapid redeployment of his forces, with this in mind he had a Jet Pack crafted that could loft his gigantic frame skywards. Treat it as a Jet pack with a 12" move in the movement phase. Master of Guerilla Warfare: A former slave taught the valuable lessons of using stealth and infiltration as paramount to any battle Corax benefits from the Stealth, Infiltrate, Scout, and Hit & Run special rules. (If accompanied by his bodyguard they also gain these rules) Saboteur : Sending Marines behind enemy lines before a battle in order to sow discord and destroy vital supply lines was a signature tactic of the Raven Lord. D3 random enemy units are selected: Models WITHOUT an Armour Value must re-roll successful ranged hits in the 1st turn as they run out of ammo. Models WITH an Armour Value are considered to be suffering from Crew Shaken for the 1st turn, even if that would not normally be possible. Shadow Command: Because of Corax's method of warfare his Allies are never entirely sure where he'll strike next- to represent this confusion the enemy may redeploy D3 units Allied to the Raven Guard up to 6". If this movement takes them into impassable terrain place the unit on the opposing side of the feature from where it started. Raven Wing: Corax may possess a body guard comprised of 4 to 9 Space Marines who have the wargear: Lightning Claws, frag grenades, jump packs (see pg46 of Codex: Space Marines)....
