Hmm... I would say that Russ would have BS 5. I mean, I agree that you have to take from somewhere if you give him WS 8, but he's a Primarch! He'd definitely be better at shooting than a regular Space Marine, even if he didn't shoot that much. Just my opinion...

Im not certain that his WS should be 8, maybe 7 instead. Russ was a fantastic close-combatant (certainly amongst the best Primarchs in one-one combat) but I see him as not relying on an overly developed skill with his weapons but more his style of combat itself which was brash and impulsive, coupled with a great strength and berserker spirit (surpassed only by Magnus and Angron respectively).

This would help to differentiate from the Primarchs who made it their ambition to fully master whatever weapons they used, such as Fulgrim and Sanguinius who I think should be given a WS of 9 or 10.

Just my 2 cents

Quick, before he gets snatched up! I was wondering if I help your guys (or girls) out with making some of these rules.

If so, could I take up making the rules for Sanguinius? I already have a few ideas to make him original and the like.

This is cooperative thing guys We all get in a say in the rules for each Primarch! That said I thing Lord Commander Erus is starting Sangy boy. But you have my permission to tear Lord Commander Erus's rendition of Sang apart when he makes it and add your own stuff (If its fluffy and within reason) same goes for the Primarchs we already have done! If you have anything to add please do!!!

ok have made the corrections to WS and BS but if yer saying that his 'great strength' is what helps in his CC then do you think that should be upped to a 7?...

As for the nemesis and null rod rules(at least the updated versions) I don't have them so anyone that does can you pm them to me?...

Haha. Alright, thats fine. Thanks for getting back to me so quick. Anyway, I'll just add a quick idea that I picked up from a great site called Codex: Horus Heresy, that was just amazing at how they recreated rules for events and units during the Heresy. One idea in particular caught my attention several times when I attempted to make my own primarch rules. The idea was this: Why not have a primarch STC (Standard Template Construct)?

With a primarch STC to work off of, it makes the task of creating primarch rules much less strenuos. So, here was the STC that came to be.
___________
WS-6, BS-6, S-6,T-6,W-4,A-5,Ld.10,Sv.-Depends.,(Sorry, don't know how to make those nice boxes. :P)

Special Rules:

-Primarchs, Gods Among Mortals: Primarchs are regarded as the Emperor’s holy sons and the embodiment of a godlike powers. Therefore, they inspire men fighting by their sides to unimaginable feats of strength and courage. Any friendly unit, be it space marines or imperial guard, within a 12" radius automatically pass all morale checks and leadership tests.
___________

Now when you look at these rules, they're neither broken nor to weak, they stand just in the realm of being balanced, as they can be killed, but are still highly capable in combat. In conclusion, the STC just gives you a basic statline of what a primarch should be, and from there, you can either add or subtract to certain characteristics and rules to fit the certain primarch your building up.

Oh man, I feel like a fool! lol. Oh right, I wanted to ask if there was any other primarch that needs to be started or anyone that might need my help. And thanks for the code to make the tables, that should make my posts with stat lines in them look a little more professional.

"Primarchs, Gods Amongst Mortals, was there to represent the kind of courage and actions Primarchs could inspire in their ranks. I do agree that the auto-pass might be to much. Maybe downgrading to the Legendary Leader rule would make it more balanced?

And I'd be happy to take Angron. Should he molded to pre-heresy specs?

Yes this is all prehersy...as is the case many died around the time of the heresy or shortly after...

Hey, is anyone doing Vulkan? I'm not sure why... but this is a primarch I would like to do.

If he's not avialible, I could do Dorn, but I don't really know what weapons he uses or anything... in fact my favorite primarchs are taken.

Vulcans free, and I think Dark Jester Chimed in on Flash Chat he wanted to do Night Haunter. If it's not confirmed at the end of the week, he's free as well. So far, the ones DONE are.

Fulgrim, Russ, Alpharius, Guiliman

I'm thinking of trying Sanguinius out now? Any objections or suggstions on his wargear?

As always Perturabo is forgotten about...*sniff

I shall start working on his stuff over the next few days

Thinking about giving him technical stuff like a Techamarine (repair stuff etc) a servo arm, Forge Breaker (two handed Thunder hammer-insta death etc), some thing about seige master-units within 12" can lower an enemies cover save by 1 maybe? Or the ability to reroll scatter dice (precise bomabrdment rule)

The servo-harness-esque idea would be cool. Forge Breaker is a must, and I think the re-roll to scatter dice would be best, perhaps also giving units of the same type (two bassies, etc..) some sort of combined fire rule ala the fire prism for Eldar?

Sounds good-like a concentrated fire thing-maybe choose either the reroll or the increased strength.

The sevro harness is good as well, increaed attacks and the flamer/plasma gun as well!!

I'd give forgebreaker 2D6 Armor penetration. And maybe a rule thet once per game he can call in an artillery strike kinda like the witch hunters one

As I've said before I'll do Dorn OR Corax- since a couple of people have mentioned wanting to do Dorn I'll get cracking on the Lord of Ravens.

For Sanguinius, maybe you (Erus), could give him a choice between two weapon types, as he was known to use a spear on at least one occasion.

So something like the Spear of Telesto (w/ some kind of breath attack as it was known to be able to vaporize enemies without the blood of Sangy in them.) or the Blade that he carried (Encarmine?) that gives his stats some kind of bonus.
