Blog Entries: 2 |  AAAAHHH I need Tech help! So i want to play DOW but it let me set my video seetings and therefore won't let me play! it says my spooge driver is miss and to ensure DirectX is installed propley. what do i do! i need help!

| This happens to nearly everyone (me included). The problem is your graphics card...as in it isn't good enough. You'll need to get a Nvidia GeForce 6 series graphics card or better, (I'd reccommend a series 7 or 8 one though, as my 6 series one died after I played DOW Dark Crusade twice.  )

Blog Entries: 4  | if you get a 6 series, the 6800 is a pretty good deal. the 7ks are better 8ks are not, unless you wish to spend ungodly amounts of money, upgrade to DX10, and are wanting to play Crysis (also, if you want a 8 series, you MIGHT AS WELL get a Intel Dual core Extreme chip, 2GB+of ram, and a 800W+ power supply) If you want affordable DoW-ness, i still say 6800 is good. Hell, I'm running a FX5500 and DoW plays fine And FX5k series are lower quality than the 4k series...

Blog Entries: 4 | Not really. Generally the "required" and "recommended" specs are a GUIDELINE. there are a hundred ways you can get past / fluke past the guidelines with a 'lesser' spec

Blog Entries: 1 | Hmm... If it doesn't run after getting a new graphics card, the problem could potentially be the processor. It will often stop games from running without huge lag (Or, if some of you don't know, stoppages or slowing of the game).

| so the spooge error is just a GC problem? my laptop thru it at me and I haven't really got into the problem cuz I've heard it can be other things besided the GC. i'm just asking before i buy a new one. |

| I play DoW flawlessly on an ATi Radeon 9600 Pro @ 128 MB, and I bought it for $200 nearly 5 years ago, so don't think you need top of the line hardware. You simply need something better than what you've got now. |

| the console RTS's on the xbox actually come out pretty well you just have to turn the mouse scroll speed down just a hair to keep yourself from flying around the table. |
