Here are all the tutorials that should help you get started with modding DC.(you can mod Soul Storm, but it requires a nasty workaround that's more trouble than it's worth) If you have any further questions after reading the tutorials, you can ask them here, or on the tutorial thread. If you can wade through all that information and come out and make your own mod, congratulations, you did better than I first did! Dark Crusade Mod tools v1.2 There are several different mod tools. They all do something very different. The most commonly used is the Attribute Editor. It edits all the .lua files, which has the most effect ingame. You can change stuff like requirements, squad sizes, etc. The 1.2 mod tools also include the Mission Editor, with which you can create your own new levels, and the FX editor, with which you can edit and create FX. There are many other tools, but those are just the basic and most common tools. Also, if you want your mod to work, you'll need the DC v1.2 patch. Here's the entire tutorials thread, containing basic to advanced tutorials. Look through it if you can't find what you need below. Setting up your first mod by Octopus Rex. Octopus Rex has a slew of tutorials that cover all the basics of setting of your mod, and changing stuff in the Attribute Editor. Attribute Editor basics tutorials. These offer a wealth of knowledge of how the AE works. Give them all a read. There is a ton of info in there, and it might be hard finding what your looking for.
