DOW Vs StarCraft

Z was a brilliant example of an RTS.. one of the first i ever played. And guys, forgive my aggressiveness. I am a ranter after all =]

StarCraft did indeed take some references from 40k, and others from elsewhere. However, it didn't directly rip off any source of ideas, rather used them for inspiration (Saying that they did directly rip someone off is being nasty to my all time favourite game [325 Hours gaming according to Xfire, and i got that a year after i got StarCraft]

You ask me to name names? When i said the same time, i meant same time and before. Emporer: Battle For Dune was a brilliant RTS, and it reflects that DoW didn't really meet the graphical standards of the age until Dark Crusade, as it shared the same sort of Graphics as Emporer, which came out 4 years before. And again, Haegemonia: Leigons of Iron, better graphics and the entire squad system implemented, just Space-wise rather than ground-based combat. 4 years earlier. Warzone 2100 that came out 5 years earlier, was probably one of the best i've ever played. It had a squad organisation system, but the key point was the development of personal vehicles. Every vehicle you created had to be pre-designed by you, fitting the various weapons on to it. If DoW had had this sort of squad customisation, i would worship it =p
I would mention Command and Conquer, but i cannot be arsed to go into why that was an amazing game.

Best RTS of all time:
Total Annihilation. Brilliant. Purely amazing. Not beaten to this day

Yes, millions was an exaggeration but i was angry! Meh.
