Witch Hunters Mod public Beta - 40K Terra

Ok, it's got an interesting tech tree, but the textures make up for that. The .rar folder is password protected. I don't know why, but the password is a single digit that is two greater than how long 40Kterra has been on the web.

Exactly! The textures force you to stop mid-game and sit and stare at them for several minutes. They are simply amazing!

Yup DC. You'll need the 1.2 patch, need a link for that? Lets see if I can dig up a link for Winrar....

Winrar just download, install and you're good!

DC 1.2 Patch Download and install to your DC directory (c:/programfiles/thq/dawnofwar-darkcrusade)

Can't remember if you need the 1.1 patch to install the 1.2 patch so...

That's what winrar is for. It can also create .rar archives and open a lot of less common file sharing file types, like 7zip.

Can't promise you that you'll like the Witch Hunters tech tree though!

I am glad this is just a beta... Some of the research was a bit convoluted, and I got my ass kicked the first time figuring it all out. Went pure sisters each time, and strangely enough, table top strategy worked in the RTs.. Battle Sister squads are the bread and butter.. I used a pirated WinZipe to extract, the newer version does .rar files...

I can say one thing... If this is only the beta for this MOD.... Then these men and women who made it are amazing... The voices of the units are perfect, the music goes form heavy metal to soprano church choirs, and the tech tree/research/buildings are unique enough to give it flavor. The soriatas flamer turret is just plain nasty!!! And the exorcist is like a whirlwind on crack!

If you look on the Arbites turret on the inside when it turns, so can see a picture of a sister with......well nothing on.

Yes, that means you CAN zoom in and look inside buildings!

We just got it and yes, I do find the army and the detail awesome...but I do hate one thing about it. It seems they gave the AIs an uplift.

I usually play on easy mode all the time because a) I like to look at the units, and b) it's the only time I can ever win.

Now the easy armies are almost like medium armies and by the time I have one unit of SOBs out, everyone else has at least three units out. So the only time I could admire the looks of the WH is when I put myself on a team and make the teams on a 1:2 ratio.

Other than that, I love it.

I believe the WH mod has the Dawn of Skirmish AI, and I also play on easy because I can't win.

try playing an 8 way battle and pray that you won't fight Necrons or Eldar. the Crons will swamp you in an army that doesn't seem to stay dead, while the Eldar just plain swamp you with a huge army of never ending units.

AM loving the graphics for this...textures are awesome and I definately like the idea of incorporating more Imperial forces into the game...just wish I could get the damn thing to run on my puter...LMAO...have to go to Erus's to play it
