Default Inquisition Questions

Okay first off i'm a newbie to 40k so dont scream at me too much lol

I have been looking at the Inquisition books and saw that Inquisiters are in the DH and the WH books. Does that mean you can have an Inquisiter with a Retinue with Followers from each book, or equipment.

I also see talk of Ordos Xenos...where can i find more information about that?

Inquisitors for Codex: Daemonhunters can only have Daemonhunters wargear (weapons, special toys, etc..). Just as Witchunter Inquisitors can only have Witchunters wargear. However, there are some basic items they share in common.

Ordo Xenos only exists in that you can take a Deathwatch Killteam, but they are not tourney legal if I recall correctly. There is talk of a Ordo Xenos codex within the next 2-3 years though.

You can have an Inquisitor of both Witchunters and Daemonhunters variety if you use the 'Allies' rule to ally one force to the other. Though, if you play Daemonhunters, what you can take from allied Witchunters as far as specific units IS limited, and vice-versa with Witchunters with allied Daemonhunters! But currently that is the only way to have one of each Inquisitor in the same army, although still, you must select which Ordo (Malleus/Daemonhunters or Hereticus/Witchunters) they are from, and what wargear they can take is limited by that.

Did i answer your questions m'friend? If you have anymore, feel free to ask!

(Stitch, MS... Feel free to chime in and add/correct.)

If you want some made-up rules for Alienhunters, Issue One of The Inquisitor, 40kterra.com's online magazine, has an Alienhunters "Chapter Approved"-type thing that I wrote. It has 4 other good articles, too!

http://www.40kterra.com/inquisitor/Issue_1/index.html

Just to make sure I'm clear, these rules are in no way approved or toruney legal. They are also in no way a sort of "sneak peek" for the actual Alienhunters codex. I have no idea what will be in it except for Inquisitors and Deathwatch. And probably Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, becuase they're in DH and WH, too.

I have another question. Despite my puritanical leanings how do Daemonhosts fair in battle in general and when compared to a callidus assasin?

They are, proportionately, ten times more random and powerful in my humble opinion. However... If you like both... you can take them both! Although I recommend Culexus.

Deamon hosts I would say are more fun and are very effective (sometimes) but they put limits on your force so yeah culexus is a safer option

Psychic powers are just way too random for my taste, I prefer a known quantity in my units rather than leaving it to chance on what they can do a paticular turn. Still I would enjoy hearing some positive aspects concering Daemonhosts

the callidus is a great tactical advantage, but she rarely ever makes up her points. the eversor is the best.
