BW, not sure it'll be cost effective for you. It's a UK based company.

GS should be cheap enough stateside, and certainly more accessible... they make it over on your side of the pond... lucky sods.

Nano, when you have time of course can you answer me this:

when getting a mould/cast of the thing you wish to produce (skull on tut) do you use anything to stop the GS sticking to the object or not?

I'd say the corn flour used in the GS mix stops the GS sticking.

There are other methods, I use Vaseline. Mix a small amount in the GS mix and lightly paint vaseline onto the part that you want to cast.

Nanolathe... are we going to get this tutorial finished with the dual surface casting?

I've run out of Green-stuff, the last little bit got used on the front of my Dread. The mould is done, but I've nothing to cast in it

I'll get some soon, but my nearest GW is an hour away by train so it's not like I just pop in when I want, it's a half day trip.

Don't use vegetable/olive oil....

Leaves a bad film that won't come off, and it doesn't seem to help that much in keepign things from sticking.

I meant when making the cast, i tried it the other day and it stuck to the thing i was trying to replicate.

Nice tut Nano. I did almost the same with the skull from Logan Grimnar.

I used small bits of sprue offcut to create my plugs for recreating the cast in the same position.

Corn flour, you say? Cool, i'll get some of that and try it out tonight.. Say I were goign to cast a one piece metal bit like denates jet pack.. what would you reccomend for a mold? I was thinking the plastic blister cover they use on metal mini blisters?
