Blog Entries: 1 | In order to write on the blank Apocalypse data sheets provided by Games Workshop, you will need to different programs: GIMP 2 and PDF Direct Pro 2. I think you can use almost any image editing program instead of GIMP, but hey, it's what I have, and it's free! GIMP 2 can be downloaded here. PDF Direct Pro 2 can be downloaded here. Download and install both of those. Step One First you'll need an actual data sheet to edit. Follow this link and you should find yourself on this page. ![]() Step Two Right click on the "Apocalypse Blank Datasheet.pdf" Select "Save link as" ![]() Step Three A window should pop up asking what you want to save it as. It is already called something like "m19000083Apocalypse_blank_datasheet.pdf" ![]() Step Four Rename it to: apocalypse blank datasheet.jpeg The .jpeg file type is key here. Select the "Save" button. ![]() Step Five Navigate to where you saved the apocalypse blank datasheet.jpeg. Right-click on it, and select, "Edit with GIMP" ![]() Step Six A window like this should pop up as soon as GIMP has started up. Simply select the "Import" button. You don't need to touch anything but that. ![]() Step Seven You can now proceed to edit your blank data sheet using the text tool, and by copying and pasting images into it. Here is something that I did in under 5 minutes. The quality sucks because it's just an example for this tutorial, but as you can see, you can easily copy/paste images(like Barons's DKoK super heavy mortar) and add text to make it look like any other data sheet. ![]() Step Eight When you're done editing it, go up to "File" in the upper left hand corner. Select "Save-as" A window like this should pop up. ![]() Step Nine Rename it to whatever your Apocalypse formation is, and change the file type to .jpeg. Example: Super Heavy Mortar.jpeg Select the "Save" button ![]() Step Ten A window like this should pop up. Just hit the "Export" button. ![]() Last edited by Templar Mikeel; 05-17-2008 at 12:44 PM. |

Blog Entries: 1 | Step Eleven A second window should pop up after that one. This one is asking about the quality. Move the selector all the way to the right to 100, and hit the "Save" button. ![]() Step Twelve Your datasheet is now saved. Now you can turn it into a .pdf file. Go up to "File" in the upper left hand corner, and select the "Print" option. ![]() Step Thirteen The print options window should pop up now. Select the "PDF reDirect Pro v2" printer, and without changing any settings, select the "Print" button. ![]() Step Fourteen The PDF reDirect Pro program will open itself now. It's kinda' confusing to looks at, with all of it's flashy options and bold letters, but it's really easy to use. Just check the box that says "view in PDF reader after saving", and push the "Save" button. ![]() Step 15 You now have your awesome new Datasheet! ![]() Last edited by Templar Mikeel; 05-17-2008 at 12:44 PM. |

Blog Entries: 1 | It is indeed the Karl. I wouldn't mind some help from yourself and Baron in coming up with a datasheet for it. |
