Chapter Basics - 40K Terra

Some questions to help our people with fluff and ideas:

Chapter Name? (To Be Determined)
Founding?
Homeworld or fleet based?
Beliefs?

If I know you Erus, you've been thinking about this.

Are any of these things already decided on or are we going to put it through a vote? I'm getting these questions with every PM so I thought it would be nice to get some answers out there if we have them.

Fluff I asked for is for your particular character. This can be written without the aid of this information. However, these may have been settled on prior to this whole project taking off. Hence, the reason for the post.

If anyone has ideas, please post them becauss it will get the ball rolling and help the others involved by giving them something to work with. This is very much a work in progress for the forum and we all have different starting points when we create an army, so let's all put forth our best effort and achieve this vision of a unified army for the forum!

Fleet based, lost our planet after fighting off a tyranid invasion followed far too swiftly by an Ork Waaagh. Minimal chapter serfs, marines of the 7th and 8th companies proficient in piloting imperial fliers.

Due to extended operations away from replenishment fleets, the chapter is characterised by the high proportion of scavenged equipment used, varying from purified suits of tactical dreadnought armour and power armour taken from the vile forces of chaos to battletanks claimed from traitors and xenos.

basically it means if you can't find any SM powerpacks in your bit box, feel free to put in any chaos ones you have (minus chaos insignia), ditto powerswords and so forth, and if you want to go really far with it, deck those out with purity seals as though the chaplains have gone the whole hog to ensure no trace of corruption remains. It also gives us an excuse to rob some of those cool new ork bikes, or even a salvaged wartrukk counting as a rhino (in extreme cases).

consider the ramshackle stuff used by the orks to represent extremely crude frontier imperial tech, rather than actual Ork trukks/bikes etc

Founding:
Mystery founding is kin dof cliche, so I agree with whoever suggested we are Ultramarines knockoffs.
Of course I keep telling people who want to make successor chapters to TAKE ONE OF THE TWO UNNAMED!
or we could BE one of the two unnamed.
(from the original 20 legions only 18 were named, 2 were "wiped from records" and thus "do not exist")

Homeworld: Terra

Beliefs: we are the emperor's OTHER custodians.

and dorn was all about the emperor and home world is terra so kinda makes sense no?

If we do declare ourslefs the Custodes of the emperor it would be pretty bad ass fluff wise. lots of political Conspiracys and assassinations plots.

We could also have our own primarch, he could be alive AND IN A DREADNAUGHT!

note that we are custodes as sort of "we are raised from terra and so declare our selves secondary acting praetorians"
Custodes of the Emperor would involve being Legio custodes.

But yes being chapter 2 or 11 would gives us a primarch! (and that would bump everyone up because Ikky would be that primarch, and chapter master post would be free!)

Though the fluff decisions are mostly dependant upon the Primarchs / Ikky of this forum.

Hmmmm... I'm actually leaning towards an Imperial Fists second founding. I'm rather liking the old Dorn-mesiter. Fleet based, with our 'home planet/garrison' being Terra would be awesome!

I am really torn between a 'Fists successor and a lost legion, in all honesty.
