A desire to stand in the Emperors light and be praised, to be raised from His flock, to be His Hand, the Left Hand that Carries his Holy Might and Wrath? Is it your strongest desire to rip the throat and heart from the enemy themselves, before you are even recognized. Then this.. this is YOUR hour. Take up they bolt gun, and cant thy prayers to the spirit of thine armor. For yours is a sacred duty, to protect and Shepard those who guide the Chapter. You are the Honorguard of the First Chaplain. You are the mailed fist of his wrath, and the keen blade of his judgment. I am looking for a standard bearer to carry my personal standard. I also need at least 2 more veterans (minimum) to be members of the honor guard. All members of the Honor Guard are also considered to be in training to be a member of the Chaplains Corps. Rules for my Honor Guard can be found as if one were taking a Death Wing command squad (all models will be in terminator armor, so this is the tentative rule basis therein). As a veteran of many battles, I myself have risen from the ranks of the 8th Company. Therefore, all my members will need to submit to me wargear and such as if they were a Blood Angels Honor Guard. For modeling, one of each is best. Though monetary means can be taken into account, and if a member can only model one, I will be more than willing to deal with such issues on a case by case basis with no problems at all. Rules for open submissions are as follows:

Blog Entries: 5 | I'll look up the rules and explain them to you on Yahoo! if you can catch me there before I crash for the night. From what I understand, each model can be armed (individually) as an assault or regular terminator, and then can have the specialist command squad upgrades. If not, well, we'll fudge a bit and make our own rules!

Blog Entries: 4 | Name: Brother Khel Hondaust General disposition/looks/background of marine: Appearance: tanned, stern countenance, green eyes, black hair and mustache flecked with grey. As befits a former devastator sergeant, Khel prefers to skirt the edges of a situation, probing for stress points and cracks in the enemy armor before moving in for the kill. When he does commit to a course of action he is relentless and single-minded in his purpose. Sombre and Dutiful, he is a shrewd, critical thinker, not afraid of speaking his mind to whomever, or whatever, may accost him. While this has, and continues to, earn him enemies both within the chapter and beyond, his ability to turn situations to his advantage, and to deliver consistent results, earns him continued tolerance. Wargear(no worry of points, just state each): Terminator Armor, Chainfist, Combi-melta and purity seals (if possible). How you came to my attention and were recruited: During the war to reclaim Lokhus Prime from the clutches of an Ork Waaaagh, elements of the chapter’s fifth, eighth and ninth companies, lead by the Reclusiarch, mounted an assault to reclaim the world’s second largest hive from the greenskins. Joining forces with two companies of Imperial Guardsmen, they battered Hive Istas mercilessly for days. Unfortunately, the Orks were well supplied, and had dug their ugly, foul smelling heels in. Bellowing their obscene war-cries, they held out tenaciously using large stationary emplacements they’d captured in the first invasion. It was in the midst of a renewed assault on the eighth day that sergeant Hondaust, spotting a breach in the Orks’ defenses, decided to deviate from the battle plan. Explaining his plan to the sergeant of the second squad stationed with him, he ordered the marines of the ninth to cover up their banners and switch off their auspexes. Infiltrating through the Ork patrols, they got into position just as the main assault began. Setting up within striking distance of the main gun emplacement, he gave the order to fire, and was greeted by a massive explosion as the second squad’s plasma cannon overheated. While half the squads’ shots were thrown off as the marines were hurled aside by the blast, the rest hit true, crippling the gun. If the explosion wasn’t enough to alert the Orks, that did it. Gangs of the foul xenos sprinted up the hills or rode their gaudy warbikes towards them. Khel spat, preparing to order a return salvo when a loud drone, audible even above the roar of the Orks, pulled him around. There, silhouetted against the sky, was an Ork Bomber wing. In that instant he knew that if they were allowed to continue, the assault was doomed. Shouting for his squad to redirect their fire, he snatched up a fallen lascannon. Yelling a prayer to the Emperor, he took aim and fired at the lead bomber. Whether it was his shot that struck, or that of another marine, is a mystery, but the lead bomber erupted in a shower of smoke and flame, the wreckage careening into one of its wingmen, both crafts ploughing towards the earth, towards him, faster than sight. If the charging Orks noticed the flaming wreckage hurtling through the dirt like the fist of some mad god they gave no sign charging onwards with the berserker zeal only true ignorance can breed. Khel knew he could not get out of the way in time. For the briefest of moments, it seemed as though he would die there, crushed beneath the flaming armour of two broken bombers. Even as the marines of his squad tried to leap out of the way, and the charging orks realized their folly, he made his peace with the Emperor, and held his ground. And something spoke to him in that frozen moment. It said that he would not die in that place; that he would survive, and that he would do so for a purpose. The wreckage smashed through his squad, the edge of the cockpit missing him by mere inches. He looked up into the eyes of an Ork pilot, its face frozen in a rictus of pain, heard the screams of the dying, the sickening crunch as ceramite was embedded in steel, and just as suddenly, time sped up again. The two downed fighters hammered through the Ork ranks like a powersword through so much sand, and bellowing a warcry to the sky, Khel rallied what remained of the two squads and charged with renewed vigor.

I might need some help on the background, but I picture myself using brute force and physical prowess a little more than tactical genius. Fiercely loyal, and never hesitating to put myself in harm's way to protect my comrades. Just think of me as your "enforcer", LC. The model I have is pretty plain jane, and I need a head, would prefer a thunderhammer and shield, and I lack shoulder pads. I'll try and trade for the bits, but I need a rough ideal on how to equip him. Help LC? I'm gonna try my hand at fluff, I'll post it ASAP, but I'll need help, I'm no fluffninja. *EDIT* As for wargear, I can borrow a Dark Angles codex, but I doubt I can get my hands on a BA one. Also, I think my name will be Orcus (Roman god of the underworld) Acacius (Latin form of Greek Akakios, meaning "not evil") Hmmm, Brother Orcus Acacius, that ok?
