Done. We need someone to link and sticky the positions application thread (post the link in the first post of this thread). We also need to do the same to a thread w/ formal list of positions filled and stick it, link it in first post, and CLOSE it. That way no one can comment but everyone can view what's taken/available. how do we want to work Venerable dreads/dreadnoughts??

Ok... And for those who are 'Master of..' etc.. I'll have wolfpack do the research, they will be able to choose between 4-10 'body/honor guard' to accompany them. We will also need to name Captains of the Chapter Companys, and let them build a Command Squad along the same lines of the codex, with them choosing/inviting the members. I'll be posting in the application thread that staff or above only (unless invited to join a squad by staffer) can be veteran sargeants or veterans/terminators/HQ... Because so far we have lik... 15 Chaplains.

And plus, that way, regular members won't be so bummed about being regular marines.. And since we're doing an entire company, the option to have mostly veterans is a serious thing!

Plus, this way, it's more member driven. I also posted in th eapp thread and here, but what do you guys think about handing out 'sergeant' positions, and possibly wargear to winners of contests?

I'm all for the wargear option (i think think senior/active members should be the leaders).

Wargear i believe are handed out to Marines that go above and beyond expectations and prove themselves worthy of it, exactly the way contests should be.

Now the side effect to that is that Marine models will have to be changed everytime a piece of wargear is added

Not a problem. I'll eventually run my own store, and I plan on conventionalizing magnetizing arms, so if someone wants to send me the bits for the models, plus the $$ to cover magnets, I'll assemble their model and add the magnets, so if they ever win a wargear, I can switch them up not problems!!! Plus, I know superglue removal methods that WON'T harm the paint.

What about painting? Is painting going to be up to the owner of the marine? Or will they be sent out to those of us up there in the manufactorium to complete?

Some wargear will also not be able to be switched out with magnets, but hopefully they can just be carefulyl glued over top of the model.
