Blog Entries: 2 | For those of us who have a position in the chapter already, I thought it would be good to hammer out a little fluff for your character/marine. Just because some people do not have titles does not mean that their model is meaningless other than as cannon fodder. I have seen other sites with their army based on them and I see them lack one thing: Character based on the participants. I would like to rectify this with our army. To do so I would like everyone to post here iwth a short bio of their character/model for the army. It can be as simple or complex as you want. At this time I would avoid using dates as the fluff for the chapter still has to be determined, but some stuff about where the marine was recuited from and a littel battle history would be nice. Once these are collected I think it would be nice to have a thread that included the Chapter History, Ways to play (Rule variants), Member profiles (your character), and maybe a galelry of some of the modles we are assembling. Once Erus gets his store running and the army makes it to him it would be a real help for him in putting things together based on our stuff in store. |

Blog Entries: 2 | Kallen Romanus Captain, 8th Company "I don't give a thrice damned hertical crap about how much firepower we are facing on this assault! We told them we'd take the spaceport and that's what we're going to do. If you have a problem with that you should get behind the chapter serfs, at least they have backbone!" Battle of Annoplolis Captain Romanus is known for his quest to accomplish seemingly impossible missions. He relies on his wits to stay one step ahead of the situation and achieve victory on any mission assigned to him. Though zealous as a marine, his true inner strength comes from a time just before his recuitment. On his homeworld a tryanid invasion was taking over. They scoured the landscape making for every major poplation center on the planet. Local militia tried to fight them off, but black powder and swords only go so far against a foe that eats everything. In one engagement just outside their village Romanus watched his father torn apart by a Tyranid warrior. The sight of this made him vow revenge on the beasts. His only thought to was to find a way to kill them. That was when the marines arrived. Seeing these valiant warrios fight off the horde, killing them without remorse of feeling in their replendant armor gave Romanus a feeling of purpose. With that he rushed forward with a sword gathered from the battlefeild at a termagaunt about to take a marine from behind. The marine acted quickly shooting the gaunt after Romanus grabbed it in the air and wrestled it to the ground. A silence filled the battlefeild in Romanus' head as he heard the marine speak for the first time. "That's a risky move ther lad. Stick by me and you'll live through this." Romanus did as instructed. After the battle he asked the marine how he could become one. The marine removed his helmet as beheld Romanus for a moment. "It's a hard life, but if you want it all you have to do is ask." At that point he mad a motion to another marine, who he later found out would be hjis superior during training as a scout. This marine took hime to other and hhis fate was decided. Due to his actions of the battlefeild that day, he ws inducted into the recruits and begame the long process to becoming a marine. Since that time Romanus has proven himself on the battlefeild many times over. With his trusted Honor Guard at his side, many points have been taken in battle simply because losing is never an option. No matter what the risks, the mission is what matters. Blog Entries: 1 | captain thabian bartez is the most cybernetically enhanced man the chapter has ever seen. this is due to the fact that he is always found in the thick of the fighting, having braved the enemy gunline in a near suicidal charge on the enemies position. most other men wouldn't even dream of such a charge but bartez always seems to win through. however the cost of such tactics is plain to see. in every engagement bartez emerges heavily wounded but still alive. it's gotten to the point that his retainers are just as likely to call for a techmarine as they are to summon an apothacary! his latest cybernetic replacement came on orphideon 3, in a campaign to rid the world of the followers of the chaos champion graxus, the master mutator, who's daemonic cross breading had spawned a nightmare of warp beasts that were unleashed on the orphidion population. an ordo malleus inquisitor had pronounced exterminatus on the infested world and bartez's company were in retreat to their thunderhawks for planetry evacuation. just as the main doors were closing on bartez's transport, the craft was rocked by a heavy impact and the boarding ramp was ripped back down as a truely monstrous spawn attempted to gain access to the passenger compartment. captain bartez calmly unhooked a krak grenade from his belt, primed it, and shoved his arm deep into the spawns maw. the resultant explosion tore the chaos beast apart from the inside and vaporised the captain's arm at the elbow. in honour of this heroic feat the rest of the company repainted their left forearms silver. that is the kind of action that has characterised captian thabian bartez's career to date, and is likely to continue untill he is finally sent to greet the emperor. personal armament: master crafted thunderhammer, storm shield. wargear/special rules: "more machine than man"-bartez's body is virtually imposible to harm, such is the extent of his cybernetic enhancements. "more machine than man" combines the effects of terminator armour, adamantine mantle and bionics. this means that bartez will only be able to consolidate after a victorius assult, cannot be transproted in a rhino or razorback and will take up 2 spaces in a landraider.

Blog Entries: 4 | Screw waiting for contest here it is: Favorite methods of transportation: On foot, on jetbike. (preferably a Harley, but i guess in 40k it'd be something like Harleya Davidsonius) Armament: I'd prefer to give him a master crafted hammer (ATM I'm going for it being his only weapon because other hand needs to hold the banner, and it is a +1Str power weapon, instead of actually being a power fist) and nothing else but i'll have to see with erus and other peeps if it's acceptable Wargear: Artificer Armour Terminator Honours Chapter Banner Am I allowed to give him an Iron Halo and/or Addy Mantle and/or Icon of the Just? (There may be additions to the above lists. This is what I thought up to be "Essential" for my character on a "Basic" level) Name: Ancient Torquemada Coteaz (Sorry for the, er, almost cliche of the name. I thought we had to use our ACTUAL names... In hindsight - I must have been on teh STOOPID) Story/Background: Young Torquemada Coteaz was a rebel, born into a lower noble house in the Hive Primaris on the world of Kanatus. He was born the same day the Inquisitor Lord of the same name finished his campaign of cleansing the world of daemon-worshipping cults, namely the Blue Leaf Cult and the Gan Gstas Raiders. His parents thought it'd be fitting to name him after the illustrius and glorious inquisitor lord. Growing up, he was always sort of an oddball, his unique personality and near-obsessive tendencies earning him a place (which his parents knew not of) as a leader of one of the gangs of the underhive. His position is especially unique because he was but a child at the time and already quite skilled in the savage ways of underhive gangs, though he spent most of his time controlling his minions. The masters of this chapter, however, are ever vigilant. After one gang-scrape in which his gang slaughtered over a hundred of their rival gangs, shadowy figures emerged in the wake of the battle. They took young Torquemada away and asked him if he wanted to join the Adeptus Astartes. Coteaz hastily accepted. He passed all the trials laid before him and became a neophyte in the chapter. Since his induction, and even after earning his suit of power armour and title of Brother, he has always been outspoken of the chapter's honour. His obsessive tendencies taking over, he memorized every holy text ever penned by a chaplain of the chapter. Many said his ascension to that role was certain. It was in one battle in particular, the battle of [insert name here*], where he learned his true place among the chapter. During the course of the battle, the chapter Ancient was greviously wounded as almost the entire right side of his body was vaporized in a blast from an enemy weapon. The Ancient would not fail the banner, but the assault would ground to a halt should the banner stop advancing. Coteaz, then only a squad sergeant, saw the terrible problem and took it upon himself to solve it. With grim determination and a fierce cry, he lifted the wounded Ancient, banner still cluched tightly in the marine's hands, and ran on, leading the charge. Seeing the banner advancing proudly yet again the other marines found courage in its glory and charged on again. The battle was still hopeless until aid from the II legion came after hearing our distress calls. Having been lost for more than 10 millenia, it is safe to say that everyone was surprised to see them, and they were more than surprised to find the tattered remnants of what used to be 1000 marines, now reduced to less than a hundred, standing hopelessly valiant in a sea of orks. With ancient technology, millenia of experience, and massive numbers of the II legion as well as the grim determination and thirst for revenge of our chapter, the battle was eventually won, and the WAAAGH! wiped out to the last mushroom barely a year after. The Ancient did not survive his wounds at that battle, and for valor and eagerness to uphold the chapter's honor and its banner, the Chapter's masters and chaplains decreed that henceforth Coteaz would be the new chapter Ancient. It is a title Coteaz has proudly worn since then, and never has he failed the flag, for he values it far beyond his own life. ------------------------- * We don't really have a detailed history of the chapter, so I'm reluctant to actually NAME any wars we fought in. ** If I can't name the war I can't really know who we're fighting either eh?

| Venerable Brother Darius Brother Darius was once a member of the 3rd Company's command squad under long-dead Captain Dunlap. A ferocious and noble warrior, Darius was always a step behind his captain, in the thick of the fight. When fighting against an Ork WAAAGH that had incited the Astartes' wrath, Captain Dunlap's Land Raider Crusader was assaulted by several ork Killa Kans. The side armour was ripped open by the powerful klaws, and the squad disgorged onto the feild. Darius climbed onto the ruins of the Land Raider and took up the still-functional pintle mounted multi-melta. He personally accounted for four Kans, while disabling two more, allowing his comrades to dispatch them. He was only stopped when an Ork Dreadnaught managed to detonate the Land Raiders main engine, throwing Darius dozens of meters through the air. When the battle had ended, his comrades found him still alive! He asked to be allowed to fight on, and was fittingly enterred in an ancient Dreadnaught shell. Since that day, Darius has fought on for the Emperor for hundreds of years. He has since been inducted into the The Grim, and can still be found in the thick of the fight. His Dreadnaught carapace has been upgraded to include two close combat arms, each encorporating a flamer. Normally, Darius is sent into battle in a drop pod assault, taking the battle to the enemy. With fire shall the Unholy be purged! |

| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | Chief Librarian Zosimus “Strength through knowledge, victory through strength!” History: Zosimus is one of the oldest members of the Chapter, and accordingly he has seen the Chapter overcome a great many enemies during his years. He has recorded all of the Chapter’s achievements, chronicling the history of the Chapter’s heroes. During his tenure as a Librarian of the Chapter, starting with his rank as Codicier, he demonstrated a voracious appetite for knowledge and quickly distinguished himself as both a warrior and a scholar, able to recite the history of the Chapter with perfect recall. It was not long before he was promoted to Epistolary after the death of Brother-Librarian Emon. As the highest ranking Librarian of the Chapter after the death of Brother-Librarian Lucius, he took the mantle of Chief Librarian. When not training for battle, Zosimus is often found surrounded by servo-skulls and candles burned low in the Chapter Archives, researching near-forgotten lore and delving ever-further into the depths of Imperial history. Some whisper that he has hidden forbidden texts in the Chapter Librarium, and that he practises incantations and dark rituals. But these rumours are unfounded and likely come from the natural suspicion of psykers. Zosimus is somewhat cold and aloof, and is distrustful in general, most likely a result of being a psyker, and a powerful one at that. There are few indeed who can claim to be his comrade. He is always accompanied by his psyber-raven familiar, standing ever-watchful at his shoulder. In battle, he is a whirling vortex of Warp energies, smiting his foes around him. Equipment: Mentis Trucidor (“Mind Slayer”, Force-Staff), Storm Bolter, Psychic Hood, Terminator Armour, Familiar Psychic Powers: Veil of Time, Holocaust

| The Great Wolf ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Captain Komak O’Fauchan has been with the second Company since the chapter’s founding. He is among those counted in the chapter as a true son of Terra herself and is revered among his chapter for his strong ties to his home world and his stalwart character. These traits have helped to assert his position in the chapter and seen him rise from a simple line trooper to his current position as Master of the Watch and Lord Captain of the Second Battle Company of the Terranus Praetor. He has seen action in many engagements and is always at the front with his command squad …his personal motto is simple…’You can’t lead from the rear!’ He became commander of the Second during an engagement with an Ork Waaagh! The command squad was under heavy fire as his tactical squad moved into to support them. There was a large blast and the two adjacent units took a direct hit from some arcane Ork artillery piece. When he came to, most of the command squad was dead…including his beloved Captain. His own squad had suffered grievously and his sergeant lay prone at his left with a large chunk of debris sticking up from the center of his torso. The only thing left of the two squads was himself, the standard bearer, and three of his original tactical detachment. His natural leadership abilities took over and he formed a tight defensive circle around the banner of his company, laying down a withering amount of fire, thinning the ranks of the oncoming horde, and yelling into the vox, “Second to me!” The remainder of the Second Company, seeing their standard in peril of falling to the horde began to advance to his position. The advancing squads taking heavy casualties as they moved to support what they thought was their commander and his beleaguered squad. Many of the senior members as well as dozens of troopers made the ultimate sacrifice that day. Sergeants fell next to marines as the second formed up and began to hold ground. In a matter of minutes they had lost half their strength, when all seemed lost, form out of now where, another force of marines swept to their aide. The appearance of a fresh force of marines confused the Orks and many fled, yet still others died where they stood as they attempted to muster themselves for a counter attack. The ferocity of these new foes was complete, resplendent in their black armor and arcane markings. The Ork advance faltered as the remnants of the Second Company regrouped and made for a tactical vantage point from which to reassert themselves in the battle. Then the order came down, “Second Company…mount up and proceed to the objective, Third Company and Fourth Company, flank and advance. Without a second thought, Trooper Komak mustered the remaining members of his company and mounted up in their APCs. As most of the command structure of the Company had fallen in battle, the confusion left by their loss was suddenly relieved as voice commands came across to the remaining troops who in turn followed the commands, believing they still had a leader, with out question…the heat of battle raging around them leaving them little option. As the carriers approached the objective, the remaining squads disembarked and moved to set up a defensive perimeter and again followed the orders they received through the vox channel…many not even realizing it was one of their own battle brothers who had issued them. As the smoke cleared and the day was won, Komak was found to be the one leading his company from the fore, this mere trooper had mustered the remaining strength of the Second and held the line…for these acts of heroism and bravery he was unanimously voted the Commander of the Second Company by his peers, which lead ultimately to his instatement formally as Captain and Commander of the Second Battle Company by the Chapter Master and being made the Commander of the watch for his stubborn resolve in holding the line against the foes of humanity. Wargear: Artificer Armor, Iron Halo, Master Crafted Bolt Pistol, Power Axe, Terminator Honors, Teleport Homer, Frag and Krak Grenades Komas is a steadfast commander...he will always lead from the front and never shirks his duties, he is of average build for an Astartes, dark hair and eyes, nothing that makes him stand out from his battle brothers. Yet his commanding voice and stern features further enhance his leadership qualities.

Blog Entries: 1 | Gaval Moralitor Epistolary "Mistakes may be undesirable to you, safe in your Hive Cities. But on the field of battle, mistakes are unforgiving." ~Gaval Moralitor, Cabaalor Moralitor is a reclusive individual, rarely seen by the lower echelons of the Chapter. Bar when fighting, Moralitor whiles away his time in the bowls of the Chapter's Battle Barges and Librariums, studying arcane texts and recording the every move of the Chapter's fleets, every battle fought. Noting the name of every Brother inducted into the Chapter, and every one who passes on. However, in battle he is the incarnation of death. There are few records of his exploits (Strangely, he takes great care not to emphasise himself in his records), but there is one from Cabaalor, where a Chaos rebellion through the entire planet into disarray. The Chapter decided not to pursue a campaign there as the Ultramarines had already dispatched a force, and there were large numbers of Imperial Guard present, but Moralitor took it upon himself to represent the Chapter's honour and fight alongside his Astartes brethren. Furious with the foolish mistakes of a bungling Imperial Guard, he led an assault on the Chaos stronghold in the south. The march left hundreds of Guardsmen dead, hypothermia defeating them, but Moralitor and the survivors pressed onwards. During the battle, Moralitor cut down a swathe of enemy soldiers before he encountered a Chaos Sorcerer of the Alpha Legion. Although the ancient psyker was vastly more powerful than Moralitor, with the power of Tzeentch flowing through him, he faltered, and Moralitor took the opportunity to gain the upper hand. Tzeentch deserted his follower, and Moralitor destroyed him utterly, casting his fragmented soul back into the warp. The Epistolary has little concern for the blunt Battle-Brothers of the Chapter, though he reserves some respect for the Captains and his fellow Librarians, in particular Zosimus, whom he reveres, and the Chapter Master, to whom he acts as if an extension of his own body. Moralitor accompanies the Marines into battle only at the request of the Chapter Master, or Zosimus. And exclusion to this being that he may take personal interest, and will accompany the Marines regardless. Wargear: Baculus Sanctimonius (Force Weapon (Staff)); Psychic Hood; Bolt Pistol; Jump Pack; Terminator Honours. Powers: Holocaust; Veil of Time.
