| Discord Chaos and death!! ![]() ![]() ![]() | you can blame Army builder ![]() but lemme see My tactics are Infantry move up and cap obj. supported by the tank companys. Useing the bassis for cover fire. The Vindicare Assassins will move to the tallest building and rain fire down on the Heavys and Hqs. The Armoured fists will move foward with the Baneblades. to cap the ****her objs. the inf will keep moving leaving one squad per building. the hq will move foward in the Chimera with the tank squads. the sentinels will also move and support the armoured fists the snipers will pick off troops. the orb Bombardment will target the warp rift when the demons arive. thats what I have so far.

| hmm...with the ability to see Spartan's list a bit more clearly I am both concerned and happy. Happy because the way I see it I have slightly more infantry than he does not including the Daemons. Also all my infantry is either mounted, can fly, or has the ability to infiltrate/deep strike whilst the majority of his are foot sloggers. Concerned because that's a lot of armour to chew through. Tactics I'll use my havocs and plague marines to capture the 2 most northerly objectives in my half of the board, leaving a squad of havocs on the 1st objective (Objective 1) and a squad of both on the more southerly objective (Objective 2)- the remaining 2 squads will then try and claim the top most of Spartan's objectives (Objective 4). The Berzerkers will be travelling with the Plague Marines and Havocs until Objective 2 is reached where they will continue towards the right hand side of the battlefield with the Raptors/Daemon Prince following on a parallel course slightly towards the centre (so they'd be in support of the Plague Marines and Havocs when Objective 4 is taken). Their job will be to create destruction amongst the Imperial Guard rearguard firing lines (infantry based heavy support, Basilisks etc). I'll use the infiltrate ability of the Chosen to claim the most southerly of the objectives in my board half (Objective 3) leaving the Terminators to be called in by either themselves or the Raptors (as all 4 units have Icons) as the situation demands. When the Daemons appear they will move as quickly as possible to engage the Imperial Guard firing lines, especially Ann'ggrath The Unbound who will be aiming to get in amongst Spartan's armoured units where he could reliably carve up the Baneblade/Hellhammer without too much difficulty, once my units (especially the daemons) have gotten close enough to Objectives 5 & 6 for them to be fired upon I'll activate the Blind Barrage to ensure that the Guard units won't be able to organise their firepower as easily. | hello? a post just saying any of you (except the fantastic Sir_Servo) has read this. oh and DK, this is the 3rd time Lord Micyl's troops have taken to the battlefield. Each time its been a bigger battle and the same core force has remained (which is one of the reasons I'm using almost 2k pts of daemons so i'm not forced to use the exact same 6k list next time) |

| Ann'ggarath really is my ace in the hole. With his ability to move as fast as anything in the IG force, Str.10 (gargantuan creature with 8 wounds and T8 so not easy to kill) potentially infinite attacks (base of 7 which is nice) he should easily survive an orbital bombardment and I doubt even a turn of firing from a Baneblade/Hellhammer would finish him off (and considering the terrain thats the most those tanks would ever get before he pounced on them). With his huge base Spartan might regret using Tank squadrons as this mighty daemon of Khorne could potentially come into base contact with multiple tanks (because of the necessary distances they must remain with each other), and obliterate them all. I can safely say that there is NOTHING in Spartan's force which could kill The Unbound in a single turn unless he turned his entire army on him...which would just mean everything else would be unmolested for a turn. muhahahaha |

| what a big battle i was giving you guys some time to flesh out all your tactics i think im ready to vote chaos 20 terms and 20 chosen plus all those deamons i think off set any advantage all that ord would have given his opponent but all that fire power was cut out by the city map anyway the only heavy weapons that he has that can touch anything on the board is the basilisks but they wont be enough

| And not including my Daemon Contingent I have: 30 Undivided Havocs (Re-roll Morale Checks, Icon for Deep Striking) 20 Plague Marines (Feel No Pain, T5, Fearless, same Initiative as IG so they won't strike last in most cases) 20 Khorne Berzerkers (Furious Charge, Fearless) 20 Undivided Chosen (Infiltrate, Re-roll Morale Checks, Icon for Deep Striking) 10 Tzeentch Terminators (4+ Inv Sv) 10 Nurgle Terminators (T5) 24 Slaanesh Raptors (I5, Icon for Deep Striking) =134 Infantry All of a much higher quality than the IG, I don't think those 9 extra men would be of the greatest help to the Guard... backed up by: 66 Lesser Daemons 1 Daemon Prince (Wings, re-roll hits and wounds on a successful psychic test) 1 bad mofo of a Greater Daemon All of which has to be killed to stop me holding objectives as well. | High Lord of Terra ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OK I finally have reached a decision. Both lists were amazingly well done. Tons of fire power from the gaurd vs the insane toughness of what Chaos is bringing to the table has made this one of the more difficult battles to vote on. But I think that there is one major factor that does the I. Guard on this one and that is city fight. If he had brought more artilery that didn't need LOS or more flamers/hellhounds than maybe, but the survivability of the Choas that can just be increased by taking cover and making sure that LOS is limited I think I will have to go with Them on this one. Chaos has the win My two cents, Servo |

Blog Entries: 1 | ![]() Yep. Great lists but the tactics are pushing me to vote for Chaos though I think Guard has a chance to win, Baron's tactics are superior.

| Trooper ![]() | I think the baron is off to a better start with tougher troops but as we all have seen you only need one bad roll to go from a crushing victory to a desperate struggle to draw. This was an incredibly tough choice seeing as all that ordnance can rip almost anything up but I'mma have to go with CHAOS for the sheer number of troops and demons which are infinantly more durable than the imperial guard, now mind you that they still have to rip up allot of tanks so I think that the guard have a chance to pull off a victory but the baron is more sure to win wow that was rather longwinded of me to say something short and simple... |
