i hate to be the one to lick holes in an otherwise sound army but a landspeeder tornado can't have both melta and asscan, unless there's something special about blood angles speeders it's one or the other and the secondary weapon is either a H.bolter or H.flamer depending on what primary gun is chosen.

that aside, i'm voting for MoW and the death guard in this one. once the bloated lil pusbags are in the buildings they'll be nigh impossible to dig out, what with a 4+ cover save on top of t5 and feel no pain.

the BA landspeeder can as you choose it's starting weapon then add it's secondary for a price.

I'm voting for the BA on this one after careful consideration.

Hmmm... my biggest concern would be the landspeeders... they're fast and I don't really have any way to kill them...

However, assuming I'm deploying on the lower part of the board... I'll probably rush for the easy hold of the tower, keeping my havocs and maybe one plague marine squad on it. The rest of my army will move to hold the Temple.

I would like to point out that I do outnumber Braindeleted in troop numbers... even with his tanks (not including rhinos) I outnumber him... combine that with my toughness and a powerfist and melta guns in ever squad, I don't see how I'll lose a objective scoring game.

Sure, he's faster than me... but this game isn't about speed, its about claiming objectives. If I can hold 2 buildings (easy, IHMO) then I'll win. Period.

Brain's army isn't to bad... but considering that my army of 49 plaguemarines outnumbers his 42 marines, 2 rhinos, 1 pred, 3 landspeeders and a razorback... ya... I think I pwn.

-crap i forgot to label the deployment zones!!!
actually master you were in the north, brain was in the south. i rolled a d6 to see who was in the south (1-3 was BD, 4-6 was MoW) ill fix that.
-HERE is a link to the blood angels codex for those of you without it
-steve is right, the tornado and typhoon upgrades are in addition to the normal ones allowed, so you can have a melta with the ass-can. this is for angels AND normal marines
-wings of sanguinius is a BA librarian power that allows the librarian to move as if it had a jump pack

brain! post your tactics!

My vote is with MoW!
It's like what Hairy said, if MoW manages to get into the objectives, then he'll be nigh impossible to get out, and the vehicles won't get close when the Havocs blow them up.
Good luck!

Fine with me... I'll just get the manufactorum instead of the tower... that'll probbaly be easier to hold in fact! I'll be getting a 4+ cover save for my havocs!

Lol... people say this army list is good... seriously, its just 7 squads of 7... and it just happened to fit a 1850pt army...

Reminds me of the Nurgle list that I ran with in the last codex before the new dex nuetered it on me.

Having no cool DP powers or Plauge Bearers makes me a sad Panda.

Still waiting on the opositions tactics.

hmm I'm leaning towards the Blood Angels, his force is quicker and it doesn't matter that MoW has a lot of anti-tank fire power- none of it has a range over 12". Still I'll wait for tactics before I vote.

But range won't matter. I'll dig in postitioning myself on 2 of the targets and then BOOM! nothing will stop me.

He'll have to take at least one of those targets to win, so he'll have to assault me. When he enters range, I pwn with bolters, and he has to face the wrath of T5 3+ marines with Blight Grenades.

I outnumber him, and considering what Brain's up against, being outnumbered doesn't really seem to be a good thing, no?

Perhaps, but I get the feeling that typhus and my Termies, plus my rhino full of meltas should be able to deal with taking the center objective. After them, I put another squad of plaguemarines on the objective and watch as his entire army is shot to pieces by me.

I move my army up, and if I think I can do it, I'll risk sending Typhus and another squad of marines (6 termies, typhus and 7 plaguemarines) to try and take the final objective. Sure, I probably won't hold it, but if I take it, I bet that he won't get any points for it.

hmm... I think he mentioned something about not posting till the 31st... in the RP I'm running... so that could be a problem.

Worst case-scenario is we have to delay the game a bit more.

Default Re: BrainDeleted VS. Masterofweirdness

I'm back.

Baal Predatory = One twin linked Assault Cannon with 4 shots of rending death + two heavy bolters. It is a monstrous shredder of infantry. I'll use it as close support for my other armor (Rhinos and Razorback) and to generally harass MoW's slow force. Lots of shots kill plague marines.

Death Company = Mega carnage in assualts. Feel No Pain, Furious Charge, Rending, 3 Attacks, Black Rage. They will reek havoc on MoW force unless he commits Typhus or a lot of fire power to them.

Honor Guard +
Librarian = Unstoppable. They will tear Typhus and his terminators to bits. 5 normal Marines each with 3 attacks and jet packs and power weapons (Or power fist in one case.) The Tech Adept has artificer Armor + Power Weapon, the Champion has a combat shield and power weapon. The Librarian gets a force weapon, terminator armor + a jump pack (Psykic power) and 3 attacks plus D3 attacks. These guys will cut through the standard plague marine squads like butter and compete with Typhus. I can choose who I assault on the board because I'm faster.

POWER WEAPONS NEGATE FEEL NO PAIN

TACTICS:

Take the Tower and Temple with my tactical squads before Nurgle because I'm faster. Put the Devastators in the temple and get them raining Plasma death onto MoW's foot sloggers ASAP. Plague marines die just like everyone else to concentrated plasma fire. Just from the temple he gets three blast temples and a normal plasma gun of the stuff. Use the two Rhinos and Razorback to harass him and distract him from the objective. The land speeders kill the Havoc's Rhino as soon as possible with the multi-melta death. The one with the Missile Launcher blasts away at Nurgle's foot sloggers. My Terminators and Honor guard react to where ever Nurgle is strongest and if there is a chance to single Typhus out then they take it and obliterate him and his squad. Death Company has to go as far as possible to the nearest enemy and that suits me just fine, MoW has to deal with them or else they'll tear him limb from limb. My Terminators are superior to his in Close Combat; I have more Lightning Claws and Thunder Hammer + Storm shield combos the only thing that tips the scale is Typhus but my Librarian and Honor Guard will be hunting him with the Terminators so his toughest unit will get over powered quickly. If Typhus is shy then my Terminators + HQ will put up shop in the Malufactorum and await them, which they will do after dealing with Typhus anyway. The Baal Predator is another tank to Harass MoW with, he can't shrug off 10 shots 4 of which rend. He'll either hae to slog over to it for the melta kill or get mowed down by or take cover and not the objective.

FUN!

I vote Blood Knights.
For basically what I've said before, the Knights are faster and able to get to the objectives first. They have a greater punch in close combat (with the exception of Typhus), and longer ranged weapons.
