Special Rules:

Main Throughfare
The Main Roads (there are 2 if you look) ads +2" to a move as long as you are on it the whole time.

Penetrating Shots
The Strength of a shot (with a str of at least 6) will penetrate walls in the city. up to a depth of 1/2 their strength for Projectiles or 3/4 of their strength for energy weapons (Plasma, Las) Melta weapons penetrate a distance equal to their strength.

Hahaha we've made lists that are almost exactly the same. I've got one more tank than you, and half my list benefits from being in mid range whereas the majority of yours thrives at longer range, but other than that...

EDIT: oops, didn't think about that Steve...I saw point costs and the edit monster in me just started crying out

RE-EDIT: aw hell, I miscounted- we've got the same amount of tanks

hmm well the maps a bit confusing, but what the hell....

I'll try and keep the Leman Russ' spread out and to the rear of my Tank Blitzkrieg, with their greater range than the Conquerors and Demolishers I should be able to give my 6 specialised Leman Russ' some vicious covering fire.

The Demolishers are going straight for cover that dominates the Main Road leading towards me, anything approaching is in for a world of trouble. The Conquerors will keep on the move (their cannons allow them to fire and move) with the Leman Russ' moving up behind. I'll try and get my tanks in to some sort of cover so they count as Obscured, after which I'll be sending my Command Tank and Tank Aces through difficult terrain in an attempt to flank Mikeel's army (gotta love Dozer Blades).
Other than some movement closer in various ways its really a case of reacting to anything the 13th Agean do.

Heres the plan. I'll move my Destroyers and Vanquisher to the head of the main road(and off to the side a bit) where they'll have a commanding firing position, and can cover a great deal of Baron's deployment zone. The rest of the tanks, minus the two exterminators, will advance in a steel wave of death, with the demolisher at the head with its superior weapons. They'll be fairly spread out so that if a.) one goes down it won't hold up the others, and b.) they'll still give the Destroyers and Vanquisher a clear line of fire. The Exterminators will try and flank Barons tanks or outflank his flankers so they can try and get a few shots at the weak rear armor.

Gonna go with Baron on this one.

Only because Mikeel took two exterminators which are nearly useless against armored company. Though Mikeel's lazer tank destroyers are great...two relatively useless tanks push me to Baron (Plus I think baron's choice of side skirts and all hull mounted lascannons give him an edge.)

Yes, my cursed Exterminators. I took them in case he was planning on countering my armor with mechanized infantry with anti-tank weapons.

pretty much why I took Conquerors, but then again with the blast there's always the slight chance I can catch one of you tanks in the rear if it scatters.

You realise that by telling me something I'd overlooked (the fact you have to move to and THEN you can see a significant part of my deployment zone) I'll just wait for your tanks to move, so they then can't fire in the same turn, and unleash everything that has the range whilst moving my Demolishers forwards into cover...its not a clever plan but it'll be damn effective.

Well really, I don't have to move. I can set 'em up in the three way intersection(where I originally intended to set them up) during the deployment phase. If I leave them there, it should discourage you from rushing madly up the main road, and very likely either you'll lose tanks, or create a roadblock for yourself with your own knocked out tanks.

so basically the main road is going to be the alley of death?

I'll be sending out tanks in a flanking motion depending on how you first move, if you come up the main road then I'm sending out big buckets full of anti-tank rounds your way, if you decide to hunker down with a portion of your stuff and send some in a flanking movement...well then I'll move my Demolishers up the road and into cover, whilst my HQ/Elites do a counter flanking movement.

i dont think anyone will be using the main road but there are enough side streets and parking lots to make those conquerors very usefull

I am confues both of you have stated that you can't move and shoot, Why is that? is it not the rule in the current eddition that you can move and fire Ordanance, you just roll one more dice for scatter and choose the highest?

well i must admit that i was wanting to vote on the armoured company on the next battle, lord i am tired. for this battle i think that Baron's armoured company with there demolisher cannons, will prove more powerful. a regular battle cannon only glances the front of leman russ on a 6 so find it hard to vote for templar's even with the tank destroyers (they hit on 4's) i have to go with the demolishers.
