i'm actually pretty happy with this list right now. it has 42 infantry models on it, and is, for the most part, pretty mobile when it comes to shooting and assaulting, with the exception of the "initiates" in the 8 man tactical squads with HBs and flamers, left with an HB for fluff and points saving reasons :]

more suggestions, perhaps ? :]
thanks again!

hmmmm... the main thing to keep in mind is your command squad is actually only 7 men for scoring unit purposes. (keep in mind the commander doesn't count as he's an IC!)

to get an extra marine in there for scoring purposes, i suggest the following;
- drop the flamers from the two 8-man tac squads.
- drop the termie honours & storm bolter on the scout sergeant.
that saves roughly 30pts or so, more than enough for an 8th command squad marine! plus there should be enough pts to pass out a melta bomb or two to your other vet sergeants!

cheers!

hmmm... i'll think about it, stitch. for now, i'll wait until i get a chance to actually play test this thing :] i'm still not sure about my anti-tank capabilities, as all i have are 3 powerfists and a few meltaguns, but i'm hoping that nobody will try to play a 1000 point army with, LOL 3 land raiders to make a world of pain and use like,haha 2 5 man squads of scouts for troops and that dark angels scout HQ for his hq choice, then i'd be in lots of trouble, haha :]

that said, thank you all for your input, it's really appreciated haha :]

i'll tell you how it goes when i get around to it.

unless someone's out to simply win at all costs, i doubt you'll see more than 2-3 main battle tanks at only 1000pts...

your main advantage will be the infiltration as you'll be able to see what target you need to eliminate asap! (plus your opponent won't have a great opertunity to counter your deployment!!!)

cheers!

You seem to be going with a loyalist version of the Alpha Legion. Having fought the Alpha Legion a couple of times, I think you will find that your army list doesn't do what you want it to.
Once I knew that all his units would be infiltrating, I turtled up in the middle with my Heavy support at the rear and my own assault troops ready to counter-charge. His lack of heavy weaponry in the first game made my termies murderous--they killed something like 18 CSM and two aspiring champions, between them and my Chaplain-led Assault Marines, over half his army was dead by the end of turn three.
Those persons telling you to reduce your squad sizes are misguided. Infiltrate or no, your troops will definitely face the prospect of at least one turn of rapid fire. Even an IG squad can generate a bunch of shots. Just a couple of '1's or '2's and your capacity to inflict damage is greatly reduced. Especially if you have the misfortune to break and fall back (yeah I know, "And they Shall Know no fear" but you still have moved back 7 inches which probably prevents you from rapid firing back at your persecutors.)
