|  Choosing a primarch Though it's not required, I thought it'd make my army a bit more fluff-friendly. My army's color scheme is closest to Blood Angels. Anyone have any suggestions on which would be a good primarch to go with, or if I should just makeup my own?

| It's my own chapter, but same traits as Salamanders (Cleanse & Purify, Never Despair, and Eye to Eye). The troops use mostly flamers.

Blog Entries: 4   | easiest way is to choose its predecessor chapter or its color-brother if you're going fluff-friendly you have two options: 1) if its a successor chapter, it has NO PRIMARCH 2) make up your own, but this has to be a "legion" and the primarch/legion is one of the two "expunged"

| well, since they use salamander traits and use lots of flame weapons, i would go with that they are a salamanders successor chapter, and thus their primarch is Vulkan. second founding chapters do this more predominantly then others. even succsessor chapters honour their primarchs. in the Soul Drinkers Omnimbus, the SD honour Dorn.

| if you decided to use a primarch, which many players that i've seen seem to avoid, i'd likely go for vulkan as well. blood angels don't seem to be so into the whole "let's just burn it and be done with it" idea, whereas the heavy flamer/flamer sees a lot more use in the salamanders, and likely their successors as well... i could see the argument for cursed founding, but he hasn't really mentioned any "accursed" aspects of the chapter, so i suppose that might be a weird thing to do. but of course, you could model mutations and such and that would be excellent for cursed founding ! your color scheme might be a little different from the sallies, but nobody will mind :] could you tell us more about the colors you're using and where ? or use a painting thingy and post a pretty picture ? haha:] cheers...and good luck! Some people don't like playing against primarchs, cause it's not super fluffy, in terms of the time line. worst comes to worst, just make the primarch stand in as an uber commander :] -ant

Blog Entries: 1 | Be aware that if you do choose to be a successor chapter of the Salamanders it would be wise not to say they're a second founding as all info points towards there being no Salamander second founding successor. Im not saying that isn't a possibility that a chapter may have been founded just that its not worth the headache to justify yourself when you could simply say they were 3rd founding or similar.
