Question Help an "Old Newbie" out

I've been out of the game for years now. I used to play IG, Eldar, and Emperor's Children mostly, although I started out with Blood Angles and did well with them. Anyrate, because the game was taking up too much and money, and I was heading to Purdue, I got rid of all my 40k stuff and just kept the Flames of War around. I'm now getting back into 40k, because there is now a large scene around where I live. I bought the new Space Marines codex and I've found that they've revamped everything. I never used to use Terminators in a 1000pt battle, but I'm wondering if they're worth it now that they can always deep strike. So far this is the army I'm considering, but the list is a rough draft. Anyone have advice on the termies, or about the list in general?? Any advice is appreciated.

HQ

Chaplain w/ jump pack and teleport homer 110pts

Tac x5 w/ Lascannon 90pts

Tac x5 w/ Lascannon 90pts

Tac x8 w/ Powerfisted sarg, meltagun, and rhino w/ smoke 213pts

Termies x5 with an assault cannon? 220pts

Assault troopers x7 w/ PF sarg and 2 plasma guns 194pts

Whirlwind for splattering guardsmen indirectly (my buddy plays guard) 85pts

= 1002pts (we allow a few points short or over)

I was also considering replacing the assault sqaud with a command squad and giving my chapter take it to them! or trust your battle brothers. However, I hear that assaulting out of rhinos has changed in these rules.

Thanks guys!

You should probably pick up a rule book.

I like the assault squad but maybe Plasma pistols instead of guns for the extra attacks? Or flamers for crowd control? You can't rapid fire then charge so...Plasma guns are...meh for an assaulty unit.

You could give the Rhino squad a heavy weapon since they can fire it out of the Rhino.

Its a pretty good list...If a little low on bodies. But not much can counter Termies (Besides numbers) in a 1000 battle. You could consider Assault Terminators with Lightning claws/Thunder hammers? About 3-4 pairs of lightning claws and 1-2 Thunder hammer/storm shield combos if you go that way.

But I like regular Terminators.

I won't take the take the fight to them trait with this army. Its fine like it is...But what traits are you using now, if any?

The Blood Angles Codex is a free download at GW's website!!!!

Yeah I meant to put plasma pistols on there not guns. I'm not currently using any traits and wondering if I'll just abandon the idea and go for the blood angle rules when I get board of the vanilla marines. Thanks alot for the reply.
How would you edit it to raise the body count or add another heavy weapon?
And what do you see as this army's biggest weakness other than low numbers?
