I was looking into these guys, anyone have any experience with them?

I dont have experience, but I have the WD Issue they were introduced, and I know a little bit of the back story

Space marine chapter went mising in the warp, noone saw them again, the Legion of the damned turn up at random battles, Black armour, skull and flames, possible the missing chapter.

They dont have accsess to newer Weapon, but have the old marks of them.

yeah thats them in a nut shell...

They are all dead to so any exposed flesh on the mini s should be roted or skeletal

They have special rules somewhere...ah....oh yeah Chapter approved 2004...here they are the rules are as follows:

Chapter Trait:
Ghostly Apparitions:All LotD models deep strike onto the battle field except they do so before the game starts and can deploy anywhere on the battle field except the enemies deployment zone...Also all models, because of their spectral nature, receive a 6+ inv save This and the deep striking thing apply to vehicles too.

Ill Fated: Cursed Founding Chapters don't get the "And they shall know no fear" rule

ok and they get a different force organization chart:

HQ: 0-1 Cursed Knights, Commander, librarian, Chaplain, Command Squad
Elites: Dreadnought, Abominations, 0-1 Terminator squads, 0-1 Terminator Assault squads
Troops: Tactical Squads
Fast Attack: Assault Squads, 0-1 Bike squadrons, 0-1 Land Speeder Squadrons
Heavy Support: Devastators, 0-1 Vindicators, 0-1 Predator Destructors, 0-1 Predator Annihilators, 0-1 Whirlwinds
No Razorback Transports, Terminator Command Squads, or Land Raiders

also they can take 2 new unit types:

Cursed Knights:

5-10 per squad armed with bolter or bolt pistol/ccw
same options as a tactical squad, May upgrade 1 member to Champion at +10
Champion may choose from codex SM armory and has +1 attack
Can be transported in a rhino.
"And they shall know no fear" Cursed knights get this rule

Genetic Corruption: Cursed knights don't get a chapter trait(can still deep strike with rest of army) but at the beginning of the first turn roll a D6 the results are as follows:

1=make an armour save for each knight those who fail die the rest are a +1 strength for the rest of the game

2-5=all knights are at +1 strength and initiative for the rest of the game

6=all knights are at +1 strength, attack, and initiative for the rest of the game but count as dead for victory points

Abominations:

5-10 per squad armed with bolter or bolt pistol/ccw, automatically have the chapter trait at no extra cost
Fearless
Death Spasm:every time a '6' is rolled to hit in close combat you must make an additional attack and keep going as long as you roll '6's, but if any of the extra attacks rolls a '1' to hit then the attack is inflicted against the abominations instead of the enemy

Thanks for that Brain. I was thinking of where to find them. I knew it was one White Dwarf.

Basically Anastobe, I would suggest looking around and seeing if you can get a Copy of the White Dwarf Issue, Or a PDF Format of the Army List, Im sure its on A Games Workshop Site.

I actually have the chapter approved that they are in. I like thier models, but are they still made or am I going to be forced to be an Ebay shopper

not the best sets to buy them in but with these as base models you can pretty easily convert them into anything you want in your army and for vehicles just add skulls and bones and really any thing symbolizing death will make them look LotD ish
