 |  Radical Space Marines I was wondering, radical chapters like the Relictos, or I guess the Soul Drinkers. They do not follow the codex, and by the things they do, for example Relictors using Chaos to fight Chaos , and how the soul drinkers where mislead by but righted the ship and turned on chaos. I was wondering I know in the Space Marines or Imperial Codecies that if your a Space Marine Chapter, non radical if you wanted to take IG tanks you half to take the necessary IG units to be able to field them. So my question is, if I make up a Radical Chapter is there anyway to get around taking IG in order to field IG Armour. I am thinking about making my Chapter Radical but still loyal to the Emperor, just not the Imperium. Much help would be appreciated. |

| Re: Radical Space Marines so like what you want to do is run bassies and russes in a 'radical' SM army ? i guess one solution would be to use the iron warriors rules [though i hear they've totally been screwed over, alas !] but you could try doing that for getting some IG tanks. another way is to use the allies rules, i'm pretty sure that would let you do so...well, pretty sure. there might be restrictions on heavy support, so i'm not completely sure. in a pick up game, or with your friends, i don't see why they couldn't simply let you... :P

| Re: Radical Space Marines Right, in a pick up game that would be cool, just to let some of the rules go. In a tournament or somone that takes it to seriously wouldn't let me without taking the necessary IG HQ units. So was just wondering if there was away of getting around using IG HQ units by making my Chapoter Radical. Funny you say Iron Warriors, because my Chapter is Iron Warriors, but loyalist unit they got screwd over many times, which I will mention if there fluff soon, so they turned Radical against the Imperium but not the Emperor. I will check out the Iron Warriors rules, thank you, |

| Re: Radical Space Marines under new chaos codex you can't take IG units and unless you can use allies with the IG and SM armies there really isn't a way to run both of the units like you want to.

| Re: Radical Space Marines Ok thank you for clearing that up, so I guess like what was said above maybe a friendly pick up game type of deal, you could tweak the rules a bit, but tournament no way. Also the reason for IG armour besides them being freeaking awesome, is it has something to do with the Chapter fluff. Again thanks to everyone who responded to this thread. |
