Default Raven guard and grey knights models

Im about to do a raven guard army w/G.K.s and was wondering a few things

Can I paint G.K. models with raven guard colors and not break any major fluff?
Terminators models is what I was planing to do.Can I count them as older/recovered armor or something?

Where do I get Raven guard transfers?

do Grey knights/S.O.B.s take slots on the Force org. chart?

1) well, they are your models so paint the way you want!
however if you check out the index astartes article on the grey knights & deathwatch from waaaaaaay back when, you'll notice that in the knights are pictured in much darker/near black armour!

2) IIRC, there currently are no transfers availiable for the ravenguard, however any specialty photocopy store can help you make your own... simply bring in a proper sized chapter bagde and they can print it onto transfer paper for you!

3) yes daemon & witch hunter units use up FOC slots... the rules for including allies are found in both 'hunter 'dexes.

cheers!

stitch pretty much covered it all. an alternative to raven guard transfers [well okay, not REALLY an alternative...] is something i've seen a few people do: just paint the marine's squad "type" symbol on the arm. ie the inverted V for devs, the arrowy X for assault marines, and the troops choice icon, which i can't think of right now. it's not quite the same, but if you use the chapter colors for shoulderpad rims, it should be decently clear that they are raven guard. :] not that many armies use hordes of jump pack marines :] haha

and yea, i agree with stitch that you can paint your models however you want. if someone complains, well...hopefully nobody will. it doesn't make a difference game-wise, so i think it's just up to you on how you want to do it :]

the grey knight terminators have alot of GK and inquisition iconography so you will have to file that off

I tried to use some of the GK termies for bits for my Emperors Children (due to the ornate armor). It will not work. I caution you on using them, the iconography is great, but hard to file off. I think they need plastic Grey Knights.

i hope youre sarcastic...
cant get voice inflection over the internet =D

yesterday i had to file off an adeptus mechanicus logo. thats tiny, and it took a long time. GK chapter logos on termies are big! about the size of a normal SM shoulder pad, and then you also have to take off the inquisition icons!
i would just do normal termies, or just use them as GK.

haha dan that's when you know you're getting your money's worth, when you can break stuff with it XD haha i'm just kidding..but yea, plastic termies would probably be a good idea. and say yes to plastic! plastic is your friend!

i took shrike's lightning claws off. guess how long it took...WEEKS. literally. i only had a razor blade, and some long nose pliers [DO NOT use pliers, pewter is too malleable. you will have dents in it!]
so plastic and i get along quite well :]

hoggery the grey knight termies are the best around. you gotta love the models. and the grey knight icon could probably be used by the deathwing as a list of the fallen or something like that as could the book that every grey knight has on his armour somewhere.
