| To me Scouts are kind of use less and not so great. The snipers are decent but you dont really need them, whats your input on them?

| Adeptus Primarch ![]() ![]() ![]() | but they're also the cheapest unit which dont appear that menacing to the enemy when compared to those (fragile) assault cannon toting landspeeders, yet they're the potentially most devastating troops in the Space Marine army. NEVER underestimate infiltrate and move through cover in urban battle where the victory conditions involve capturing quarters or objectives.

| bears. beets. BSG. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | lol. in my 1.5k list i have 5 ? scouts in there as fluff, all with bolters. so far they haven't done anything but die, but obviously i'm equipping them incorrectly-there are enough bolters in the normal marines that i think using their special weapons, especially like the shottie [which i previously didn't like] and most definitely their sniper rifles. cool models too, lol

Blog Entries: 2 | I have 60 scouts and often use an all battleforce just to show people what these guys are capable of. Sure they ar guardsmen on crack, but they have abilities the guard do not. Take things like the ability to infiltrate an end up at objectives or closecombat with lesser troops by the 2nd turn. Great for you, hell for your opponent. With the different guns availble even snipers get their day in the sun. 2 groups held back for covering fire, Check! stop advances before the get a chance to happen in force. And as steve mentioned, once you wound with sme weapons it's all over anyway! |

| I bring a unit of 6 to every single battle. I live by having at least one unit in my armies that have the infiltrate ability. The counter opponents infiltrators and allow me to dictate what side of the board his infiltrators deploy on. The only other option for this is Veterans but why spend all of the extra points. I only ever field them carrying bolters and I use them as a clean up squad. Which will be really effective in 5th ed. where we need to kill every last ork to the man if they aren't running away. Also part of their clean up role is to shoot last in the phase and see if they can tip a units casualties to 25% and cause morale checks. I would really want snipers against a Ctan but not everyone runs into that everyday.

| im a big fan of tactical scouts with bolters and misslelauncher or heavy bolter they are like a regular squad that can infiltrate for cheaper and if you pair them with a regular tactical squad its very nasty they can cover each other and help deal damage to each of their targets i also like scout because of teleport homers they can move them up faster and further through cover and terrein than any other unit

| Yeah the new thing that I enjoy doing with them is to outflank and then assault a tank with Krak Grenades.

| Scouts are great with just pistols and cc weapons. Don't underestimate the ability to infiltrate and they also get move through cover. 2 attacks each and +1 on the charge and inexpensive points wise. Well worth there points cost. Don't leave home without them.

| Adeptus Arbites ![]() ![]() | I used them in a game a few times...very useful on the sides of the boards with their sniper rifles...hits just about anything and makes the rest take cover allowing the rest of the army to catch up and add their own fire to the mess

| Sniper scouts pwn MCs, since they hit easily. They pwn anything with low armor as well... Tactical scouts are a early game fire base, two small squads with a ML or HB will give you some early game shots, sure, they might get shot to pieces, but they are cheaper than normal marines and thus you might just save that landraider or rhino with an IC in it... CC scouts are the cheapest assault units for Space marines, they are also S4 and T4, which means they are better than your average enemy unit. They won't hold their own against real assault units, but against your average joe unit, they will do good. Scouts are nice. ![]()
