Blog Entries: 1 |  depends what chapter you're talking about. every chapter has slightly different markings to denote rank and unit type ie. tactical, assult, dev, etc.

| right. some squads, it might not really even matter in terms of markings, if he doesn't have any weapons or stats that vary from the members of the squad. as for my chapter, [ie, you can do crazy things for sergeants] mine get purple armor and bleached bone shoulderpad, VS black initiate's armor with white shoulderpads, etc. :] -ant

| its all chapter dependant but if you are just using their codex you make your own thing i dont paint faces very well so all my marines have helms even my sgts/wolfguard leaders but they have bannerpoles and their armor is silver my regular marines wear tin/bronze armor and my top ranks wear golden armor so do your own thing unless you are making an existing chapter then i would do a little research and find out what they use
