I have all the faith in the imperium for this, we have a huge range of painters and modellers which may even rival that of coolminiornot. Good Luck

From small things, great things happen.

sure thing berzerker, whatever you feel confident in doing, maybe a stage by stage guide for word bearers?

ion, do the colours you were going to do anyway as it's always good to have different methods on offer.

ok now ive been alerted to this heres my 2 euro cents worth:

i will document the progress of my baneblade in what i shall call D_Cs: how to paint a wbhite baneblade over a black undercoat the really hard way

ill also be entering next years military expo painting contests with a handfull of entries and i migh tsee if i can get some interetsing techniques and styles onto them so i can do a step by step on some (things like freehanding, which i pretty good at, maybe)

Hey guys, anyone got tips on painted flesh? The one thing I really dread painting is unhelmeted heads. Any tips would be appreciated.

we might as well erus, if you have to do something crazy it should be as outlandish as pos, right you'll have to inspire someone else to drive it though, i seem to have my hands full at the mo!

dragoon, i'll add that to my list of things to cover.

if anyone else has any requests please chime in.

Thanks Hairy. I also wouldn't mind seeing some tips on painted weathered or rusted armour. Maybe even mud or sand on tank tracks. I will voraciously consume into my brain any painting tips, no matter how mundane they seem. That way when I do get ready to paint, I'll be better prepared!

Right I'm back! Everything sorted, everyone happy. Jubbly

I think you need to make another sticky where you can transfer requests from conversations in here so we have a clear list of whats coming.

IMO I dont see why STC manufactorum cant be either put together with this or driven in a similar way (I dont mind helping with that). We got a lot of stuff coming in now! Yaahoo.

@Dragoon King, Krom is due to paint his Land Raider Crus soon, I will twist his arm into making a weathering one!

I will obviously be helping drive the modeling side of it. I may just ask D_C to help me, so he can balance me!

I agree, Mart. There probably should be another sticky for requests. Also, twist both of Krom's arms and maybe his ears to get him to weather it. Failing that, I shall unsheath the Daemon Sword Orcus!

If you want a dead greyish look (chaos) prime white, coat w/ dark grey, ink w/ blue *gw* watered down 3x h2o: 1 ink, recoat all but deepest recesses dark grey + blue ink *leftover* 3:1, highlight dark grey, highlight DG+Grey, highlight Grey, highlight Lt grey.

*assuming you know that when you highlight a lighter color you leave a smidgen of the previous coat showing*

BTW working on a tute for skin faces now... got the grey done but want to do about 3 more types before i post.
