| heya guys highliting is important because it brings out the important parts of a model or peice of scenery! HIGHLIGHTING ARMOUR: firstly choose the coulor you would like to highlight with, use a color like chaos black or scorched brown and brazen brass depending on what armour color your highliting STEP 1 water down your paint so it is really watery not even paint like, colored water like! STEP 2 gently brush this paint over the part of the armour you may want to highlight(for example the 6-pack of c'tan the deciver with brazen brass) and carry on doing so, the watered down paint should sink down into the crevaces and grooves creating a bulking effect showing the armour to be slightly used.make sure paint is spread evenly around the model. HIGHLITING BASES choose your color agian, this only works with sand on gravel or rocky bases not with grass!!!!! STEP 1 after the actual base has been painted the color you wanted it for example if the gravel was codex grey, use somthing similar like fortress grey chaos black or skull white and gently drybrush over the surface which makes the larger parts of gravel stand out making it look more realistic! dont blame me if this wasnt a very good tut, coz i aint too great at painting
