Blog Entries: 4 | This tutorial is one of a multi part guide on building Pre Heresy Terminators. I have Split it up to stop information overload. This section deals with the basics of Arms Tools Required: Plastic Terminator ArmStep One Support for Shoulder Armour Take your chosen arm and trim all the mould lines and flashing from the piece. Lay the arm on the plasticard and draw round the Shoulder (where it would glue to the main body) ![]() Cut out this piece of card and file the edge so it is smooth. File a flat on the outer curve of shoulder (Just where the piston goes into the the shoulder) Take the curved piece of plasticard and dry fit it onto the flat you have filed, the upper curved edge should match the curve of the inner shoulder (you may have to trim the lower straight edge of the piece to get them level) ![]() When you are ready glue it into place. ![]() Step Two-First Armour Layer Draw a shape like the one below on plasticard and cut it out ![]() It needs to be long enough on the straight edge to all the way over the curve of the shoulder and the max height of the curve is about 15mm (all these sizes are trila error to find what is best for you. IMPORTANT-before trying to glue any curved component roll the plasticard round think paintbrush or pencil. This will induce a natural curl to the card without putting creases in it! Glue the curved armour piece with the striaght edge level with where the shoulder glues to the body-only glue the highest point at first ![]() When this is dry glue the forward curve, when that is dry glue the rear curve. ![]() When it is all dry trim any excess card as required ![]()

Blog Entries: 4 | Step Three-Armour plate spacer Cut a long thin strip of plasticard (3mm approx). ![]() Glue this along the inner edge of the lower Armour plate. ![]() Step Four-Upper Armour Plate Cut a long strip of platicard for the top Armour Plate (about 8mm wide and long enough to do the entire curve of the shoulder) ![]() Glue this along the top of the spacer (taking care it doesn’t glue to the lower plate) ![]() Step Five- Upper Armour Trim (optional). Cut a long thin strip of plasticard (2mm wide, this may take some practice)! ![]() Glue this along all the outer edges of the upper Armour Plate. ![]() File flat any joins on the trim that are not level with each other. A further tutorial on finishing details will deal with extra pieces like studs/rivets, chaimail/leather straps under the curved armour, curved armour end pieces and other cosmetic details.

Blog Entries: 3 | Nice! + rep for sure! Now I know the size to use, and how to do it! Wolfpack also mentioned I think once to me that a lightly heated metal rod to roll the PC over would make it bend a little easier.. He was speaking of making tanks though, so do you think that applies? |

Blog Entries: 4 | When using 0.5mm plasticard it bends easily enough, the warmth from your hands is sufficient to keep it supple. Just gently roll it round a paintbrush handle as recomended it the tutorial.
