Painting Competition '08

Just to make these things official I thought that putting them here was a good idea. If I'm wrong then any Mod please feel free to send a PM telling me how angry you are

The competition starts and runs through February with the results announced 2 weeks later. Proof of start time is a requirement.

To summarise the rules of the contest:

• The mini can be any make or size but must be a single miniature.
• Conversions are a-go but do not give any bonus points in judging.
• Marks are awarded by those participating.
• You cannot vote for your own miniature.

The categories to be marked are:

• Colour (how well the colours work to enhance the miniature)
• Base (How well the base contributes to the overall miniature
• Atmosphere (marks are awarded according to how well the miniature fits into it's respective fluff)
• Technique (how well advanced techniques are implemented)
• Overall Skill (marked on how the miniature looks overall)

Marks range from 1-10;
1 being poor implementation
and
10 being excellent implementation

PRIZES!
+20 rep and custom banner for 1st place
+15 rep and banner for 2nd place
Additional +3 rep bonus awards
Other prizes [TBA]

This is correct, only on the atmosphere (if your doing a different make of mini it's how well it fits into that system, if you dont know the system, if the poster could post a link up of that system so we can get a general idea, but we will make this clearer later)

The two weeks is where your mini is marked and you will need to make a thread of your entry by the end of Feb. Burny and I will have made a template for you to follow, and then you simply post it up!!

We will have also decided on the extra bonus prizes by then. One is going to be judged by Erus, and the rest will be probably be decided on who got the highest scores in the certain areas after 1st and 2nd place, (ie best colour, best base, most atmospheric....) but we havent fully decided on that yet.
