SIGN UP IS NOW CLOSED, THE QUIZ HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED AND THE PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE THEIR QUESTIONS AT THE TIMES THEY GAVE

Well I believe the title explains what this thread is essentially for

Any Questions regarding the Quiz should be directed here/Also The Quiz Times are now up here: http://www.40kterra.com/forums/f205/quiz-q-5459.html

I'll post up the basic layout of how the quiz will be run first:

Unless otherwise stated each Round will consist of 20 Questions.

1st Round

- Open to everyone.

- Questions aren't too difficult, people who have been in the hobby for more than a couple of months should be able to score highly from simply having picked up this info accidentally.

- Questions on a variety of subjects, half will likely be concerning the Imperium in some form.

2nd Round (any one who makes it to here will get 1 Rep)

- Open to the highest scoring participants from Round 1, this could be half of the participants or there might a cut off point dependant on score, it will change according to how many people enter the Competition.

- Fluff Vets should still do well but they may start to run up against questions that they're not too sure on, this Round will begin to separate those whose main occupation in the hobby is with the fluff from those who, say, concentrate on painting etc

- Questions on a variety of subjects, as with the previous Round the Imperium will have more questions concerning it than other subjects.

3rd Round (any one who makes it to here will get 2 Rep)

- Open to the highest scoring participants from Round 2, this will hopefully be around 6-10 people depending on participation.

- Those who aren't Fluff Masters or Veterans should not apply! Will be more difficult than Round 2 but still within the realms of possibility to gain High scores (maybe).

- Questions will be on a mix of subjects with emphasis on Non-Imperial subjects (other than Galactic/Imperial History).

Masters Final (anyone who makes it here will likely get a large amount of Rep points, exact number to be decided on how they place)

- This Round will occur if there is no clear cut winner from the 3rd Round and will only consist of those participants tied for 1st place.

- Abandon all hope ye who enter.....

- 5 Questions on random subjects (so they could all be on the Imperium or having nothing to do with the Imperium at all)

1st Place- 20 Rep and a Banner
2nd Place- 15 Rep and a Banner
3rd Place- 10 Rep

Any one who makes it in to the Masters Final but doesn't finish in one of the 3 positions will receive 2 Rep (to make their total earned over the Competition +5)

So if your interested in taking part just post on this thread with your time zone (so I know what time you are in relation to GMT) and preferred time for me to PM you- if there is going to be a clash at certain times (like if I'm asleep

) I'll message you and we can hammer something out.

I'll be aiming for each PM I send to be returned with the answers roughly with in an hour of it being sent, but I wont be terribly strict if it overruns by half an hour (or, if more, if you have a viable reason why you didn't send back the answers on time)

I'm in - and being british makes the whole time thing irrelevant (to a degree) but I'll need to get back to you as to an ideal time - it varies greatly from day-to-day as to when I get down time from uni work and other commitments.

but yeah, when things get underway PM me and we can sort the best time.

UPDATE: After each Round I WONT be posting up what scores every one got, I'll simply post who is going through to the next round- I will however send each person their score and the answers to any questions they may have got wrong.
So unless the unanimous consensus is for me to post up the above info for everyone to see there'll be no 'public humiliation' or whatever you'd like to call it.

EXTRA UPDATE: The best times for ME to do this would be between 7AM-3AM (don't really want to have to get up at 7AM

). Unless I manage to secure employment then in that case it will obviously change again.

@Brother Warchild- we'll hammer something out, preferably either 7PM or 11PM your time rather than 9PM (5AM over here- *shudder*)

Before someone points out that I am in fact up rather early right now- this is the exception not the rule.

All the Admin have a lot going on right now so it wasn't possible to get a special forum set up (and the time it would take to train me in its usage would have been a hefty week or so

). I want to get the quiz comp started and and finished before April otherwise we'd have to wait till around June...no thank you.

UPDATE: I'll wait till Wednesday/Thursday before I declare the Competition started, should be enough time for people to sign up who are realistically going to.

Excellent, the more fluff masters the better (trust me if you get through to the Masters Final you WONT be able to answer all 5 questions correctly, or at least you will have to be the font of all knowledge to do so).

We're up to 11 so far and Munkey Joe Paints will be helping out to hand out the questions to those of you who have given times that might be difficult for me to do so myself.
