Stickers, handouts, coordinate with local stores :/ do we even have such things?!


Sorry if i sound like a buzz killer but i`d rather have the comunity help with present/short term isues.

Things like: getting the front page done, killing the little bugs that still persist, concentrating on tutorials for a bit, advertising our site via google by more key words (such as tutorial :P).

Yea Me and Mr Scoutmaster477 will have to take over the entire SE. I am motivated and he seems smart and motivated so together we will be untoppable!!!! LOL

On a real Note, I will be making trips to JAX on a semiannual basis so we can tag team a solid base in south Alabama, GA, and North FLorida. I have already done business with him and he seems to be a great guy!! But so did John Wayne Gacy...........LMAO

If i get the job lol. There is about 6-7 of us at GW Leicester on Terra already (Me, Dave, Slow, Barnet, Petey, Ok then 5) and a couple of others who might sign up. So it wouldnt be too hard to attract interest from the (decent) players there. I also go into the other store in our region occasionally so it would be relatively easy there.

Also there is the SGC at my school (Strategy Games Club, its based at the school below but a lot of members are from my school. Big 40K following there) so it would again be easy to find good, mature players who could spread the word even further.]

On a side note.. Minimum bribe? =P

How simple are we speaking? It's easy to open up something with GIMP and add some text to it. That easy?! I still have the old flyer on my computer, so if you're really desperate(which I doubt you are) I could add some text to the 40K Terra logo and call it good. But I doubt you need them that bad.

I missed this... But I'll say this Wakim...

The front page is NOT under our control, it is being worked on but being done by a third party that moves at their own speed. So, in short, saying we need to get it done does no good. They have it slated for work in their own time, and it will be done then. No use delaying a project for something we won't influence anyway.

What little bugs still persist? What? Name somethign if you're going to complain.. We can't fix what we don't know.

The advertising via google is POINTLESS until the front page is fully done. BEcause all the META tags and keywords will just need to be re-done then.

Tutorials are done by USERS not the ADMINS... So why we should shift our energy into content supposed to be user generated is beyond me.... We can prod and poke and encourage all we want (look at Ikky's threads.. we've asked) but YOU, the user, have to do the content work. So, in answer to that.. If you think we should do more tutorials... Do some?

That's the only real way it will get done! That, or find friends who know about it, or when you see a model/conversion you particularity like, ask for a Tut on it. See members on Warseer or elsewhere? Contact them, ask them to come share thier knowledge here!

Dragoon_King got a very well respected member of the online community helping with our Armoury project... Surely, if you feel you see the needs of the site so keenly, you can try and recruit modelers from other sites, etc..? If not, then leave it to us to manage and trust we'll do it well. K?




As for a flyer... I'm workign on a design.. I just need better software to clean it up and make it sharper. As soon as work lets down, i'll take it to the designer of our current logo and have him polish it. I'm trying to get ahold of a copy of Photoshop or some such so I can produce more here.

That`s exactly my point, it`s an older post and i talked with Ikky about all that in the mean time (the same day if i remember correctly).

And yesterday you and i 'had a talk' about blowing things out of proportion An you can see that post you replied to is 4 days old, almost 3 days older than our last similar talk.


So please stop reading my messages abou the forum if you are going to take everything as a personal affront.
