Troop Infantry Platoon1 Command squad Jo bolt pistol & ccw 4 guardsmen with lasguns 1 w vox fine but loose the vox Infantry Squad 1 1 sergeant with las pistol and ccw 8 guardsmen with lasguns 1 vox 1 flamer Infantry Squad 2 1 sergeant with shotgun 7 guardsmen with lasguns 1 with vox Heavy Bolter why the short ranged shotgun when the squad has a long ranged heavy bolter? ____________________ Infantry Platoon2 Command Squad Jo las pistol & ccw 4 guardsmen with lasguns 1 w vox Infantry Squad 1 1 sergeant with las pistol and ccw 7 guardsmen with lasguns 1 with vox Auto cannon groovy, but for the vox. Infantry Squad 2 1 sergeant with las pistol and ccw 7 guardsmen with lasguns 1 with vox mortar mortars don't generally tend to work too well in infantry squads, stick to heavy bolters or autos. ok so the vox thing. the arguement goes "why not pay the 1 extra point and get vet serges for each unit. not only do you get the ld8 but you get an extra attack too". all in all not a bad start, plenty of infantry. you won't be out numbered at this level pts games

| I want voxs due to fluff reasons. I have the mortar as well for fluff reasons. The reason i have the shotgun is because that squad is meant to be a close back up for my cbt squad and will most likely be dropped with thhe cbt squad behind enemy lines. either drawing them away from main firing line or being shot in the back with a heavy bolter. Also when dropping do you have to drop the whole infantry platoon as 1 or can you drop squad by squad?

Blog Entries: 1 | the platoon is 1 FoC slot so you would roll once for reserves and if you get 'e, you get 'em all. but the individual squads can drop onto different areas of the table if you want. grab yourself a game store kid and see if you can get stitch's attention as she's the expert on drop troops. i'll tell you now she'll probably advise against taking heavy weapons in drop squads as you won't be able to fire them on the turn they arrive.

| No no I meant as instead of getting the whole platoon + command squad could you instead keep the one squad on the table and the rest of them deep strike or do you need to deepstrike the whole infantry thing as 1 instead of splitting it between dropping them. As I realised taking a heavy weapon is useless.
