Death Korps of Krieg - 40K Terra

Hey everyone,

I was just curious to see if anyone here besides me has the cash, guts, stupidity, audacity, capacity or mix of all the above to field a Death Korps of Krieg army.

If so list you color scheme and maybe some background info about your army.

Well heres a quick list off the top of my head, though this is just more of a general hobby thing as I really havent used the Siege Regiment Lists from I A5 so I'm not entirely sure how that plays.
Pros:
AWESOME models
Really cool background fluff
Lots of organization options due to fluff (I think anyway)
Acess to alot of Big Guns

Cons:
Expensive as hell for most of us
Resin can be harder to work with than pewter or plastic(really just takes some time to get used to)
Minor thing, but FW is really backed up right now so it'll probably take you upwards of a month to get your stuff unless you buy from Ikarus!

Yep... and as you may already know I'm the resident Krieg fanatic. Gunner also has some Superbly painted Kriegans as well if you check the Scenery Forum(I think). Also be sure to check out my WIP if you want to take a look at how I paint/model the Korps.

BvL I am starting a DKoK army with another person here on the forums...We will have 2 seperate armies but are "buying together" to save money. this fall/winter you will not be the sole DKoK guy. You'll just know more about them and be better at being a general!!

I have read their rules baron and while their death riders are awesome, I think that the rules didnt really make the expensive models worth it. I mean imp guard infantry units that CANT take a heavy weapon and can only take one special weapon and the guys not being worth their points just makes the entire army not really worth it to me. I do love the models, i just dont see their rules making them worth it, though more power to ya if you like playing them! Just I will personally stay away from them.

Ya I've heard things like that about the siege list, but since I dont play an exclusively seige regiment (Isenherz AND Isenblüt) they dont bother me too much. I play more of a tank heavy/artillery Krieg and just use the Guard Codex with a few of the special rules form IA 5, such as the Heavy Mortar and Grenadiers for example. And the models are totally worth it (to me anyway), and hey you can always save some money and buy from Ikarus.

Well now that I am a lodge member I am looking into purchasing a few of the Krieg squads for my Steel Legion Army. I am thinking of getting the Death riders and using them as Rough Riders and a squad or two that I will kit out with a few specail weapons so that they can pose as my Hardened Vets.

Who knows if the bug bites hard and deep enough I might just have to eventually get a whole army.

I would love the collect Deah Koprs of Krieg, ut that exchange rate can be a real pain in the but.

One pound= one.nine-seven dollars

so basically i would pay $64 pus shipping for ten guys.

I am starting a DKoK army. I love the big guns especially the long range medusa and the fact that theoretically i could drop 48 blast templates from my elites alone or use a 5 man grenadier squad carrying 2 demo charges and 2 meltas mounted in a centuar for one heck of a tank busting party. Even super heavies would have to worry. I really worry though my friend just got a demon army and that is one heck of a lot of deep striking fury. My paint scheme by the way is codex grey greatcoat heavy washed with a chaos black wash the fatigues(the little bit of legs you can see) are fortress grey and the armor plate including brain bucket are shadow grey. the straps and all other leathery stuff are bestial brown
