Default Imperal Autoguns

I just got some kick ass autoguns for my imperial guard and was wondering who to give them to?Regular inf? vets? I want to give a hardened look for my fighters without making them look ragtag.

kinda hard to see. camera isnt focused, and the brightness behind it. i would put em on a white sheet of paper then take a picture normally so its focused.

anyway...they sorta look like M16s. are they 40k bitz? that kind of special weaponry i would give to hardened veterans or members of your command platoon. they wouldnt waste em on normal meat sheilds.

i would definitely give special stuff like that to hardened vets at least :] i try to spread special bits but sometimes there are exceptions and these, in my opinion, would definitely be exceptions! :]

Yea they do look good. The reason why you have that effect on the photo is because the camera is trying to re-focus to compensate sor the light behind the guns. Check out these tips I have given:

Taking pictures of models

The one on the left looks a bit like an AK47 varient.
I'm planning on making a character with an M16 autogun too...What would be the best way of modelling an auxillary grenade launcher?

you could just trim away the handle a bit and add a tube on the bottem. then green stuff to smooth out the transition.
or were you kidding =D

For £2.50 it's brilliant. I'm buying some of these to tool up my vets, to keep with my fluff.

But seeing as they are this cheap and look great, I don't see why they can't be used for AF squads or other models that need a little edge compared to the regulars (AF are just guard in a chimera, afterall, and need some definition).

No I wasn't kidding. I want a guy based losely on sergent Johnson from halo for an Inquisitor retinue...why you ask...simply because you gotta like Johnson. And because I wan't it for small scale Inquisitor games.

Thanks for the advice. Now to start hacking away at that Autogun.

I would give them to vets and command squads. Meat sheilds would just die and waste them.

Yup. Autoguns were in the Imperial Guard back a while ago. Same stats and such as a las gun, just looks cooler IMHO.
