| Trooper ![]() | I'm curious as to where I can find the rules regarding using Witch Hunters as allies for an IG force. I've got a bunch of them laying around and thought that a squad of 11 Sisters w/vet superior would be a nice addition to my 1,500pt list (I'll post it once I know if its legal or not). I have the Codexs for each army but I cant find a clear explanation for taking WH allies for IG. Thanks for the help! ![]() |

Fill your compulsory requirements with IG units and then you can add 0-1 HQ 0-1 Elites 0-2 Troops 0-1 Fast Attack No Heavy Support from Codex: Daemon Hunters. Obviously im using the other Inquisitor Codex but I doubt there would be much difference if any.

| yes they should be located at the bottom of the witch hunter codex in the troops selection. depending on whether its allied or inducted your limited to certain troop selections and amounts

| Trooper ![]() | Another one for ya!!!! Do inquisitorial allies take up a slot in your force organization chart?Ie: Say I have 2 squads of rough riders and 1 hell hound. Can I also add a Seraphim squad or deep striking Grey Knights squad and still keep my 3 IG Fast Attack choices? The rules are unclear in the WH and DH codices so I figured I'd post the question on here. Thanks!p.s I already know they cannot be taken to fulfill my compulsory HQ and 2 Troop choices Thanks! | And, the fun thing about your army is you can use them to make a Witchhunters or Daemonhunters army with inducted Guard for a heavier hitting force, or use the allies rule to incorporate the other! Just remember, allies are not tourney legal this year form what i've heard! |

| thats really dumb... but what ive done for my space marine 3k list is to make 2 seperate force orginizational charts! i didnt include any SoB heavy support units or anything, as this isnt normally allowed by the allies rules. but with the 2 FoC, i could add a unit of sniper scouts and split a 20 man SoB squad into 2 10 man squads. |

if you're going to ally an =I= lord & assassin, the take a daemonhunter =I= lord because they get much better guns! (*cough*psycannon*cough* inquisitors are typically as killy as a basic guardsman in combat thanks to their S3/T3 & IC status... never use an inquisitor for an assaulty role unless you like throwing away the better part of 120 or so VP's! as for the calidus, most people hate her because she's pretty dirty... she'll typically pop out of nowhere, kill her intended target and then get gang-beaten into the next segmentum by entire enemy army! cheers!

| experiment 626 is about as right as it gets. if you want to be cheesy an inquisitor can take a land raider as a dedicated transport, i know it's not a scoring unit now, which is always a good thing.

however, it still follows all the other rules for dedicated transports, chiefly that it can only transport the squad it was bought for... honestly, i wouldn't consider taking a land raider in a guard army cheesey... i mean, if the guard player wants to sink 250+ pts into a single model which also requires them to take roughly 100pts in addition, then by all means please do so! i can still kill the raider with a single lucky shot. (well, maybe i can't, but anyone else can! )there's much better options in the guard list for 250pts than a single av14/14/14 tank, which also comes with 2 main weapons to boot! cheers!

| hmmmm. there are better but a landraider cruising around the board might draw fire away from russ's and basilisk's. 250 is expensive.

i'd always shoot the much more deadly russ over an av14/14/14 'bunker' which at beast can kill 5 guys! (unlike the russ who's pie-plate can crush entire squads...) it's all about threat level and asesment; the biggiest tank always looks scariest, but it's not always the biggest actual treat to your army! cheers!
