Craptacular. I just knew someone would suggest Brass Scorpion! Dang it Stitch, I don't wanna build one! I'm too lazy and its too much work! I refuse to listen to you! But then again...they are awesome and quite deadly, according to you. Didn't you wipe out a Armoured Spearhead with one? There are two reasons that I don't wanna build one, they look a little too much like a Defiler and cost a lot to build. Arghhh, they are unique to CSM, so maybe I will break down and build it!

Raptors sound good, I was going to suggest termies with chain fists, since I also read up that they're recommended against titans too (as long as you can get near enough). Jump pakc lord w/ personal icon, go in deep, deep strike termies, hopefully they'll survive, and then chain fist them.

Their armor saves still work when the vehicle explodes, right?

I really like the Predator Assassin Squadron Apoc datasheet. 9 Lascannons that can re-roll misses? Fantastic. I love preds anyway, though they lack heavy armour, they are small and easy to conceal, and pack a mean punch.

Baneblades are just bigger, tough tanks.
So you just deal with it like any other tank, just on a larger scale.
All the usuall tactics will work.
Massed lascannon fire, deep-strikers with melta weapons, chain/power fist.

They are dangerous vehicles so you will lose a lot of the stuff you send at them but since it's an Apoc game this shouldn't be an exceptionally large part of your force.

Don't forget that each banblade will set the other guy back about 500pts so you'll have more to spend on anti-tank weapons.

Use Terminus Pattern Land Raiders. They will make short work of most things.

How effective would a Daemon Prince be assaulting one?

I charged the back armour of a baneblade with a squad of 6 termies (2 had chain fists and 2 had assault cannons). It may have been the luck of the dice, 1st turn i took out pretty much all the guns, took it down to one structure point.... i think :S. My aim was just to go suicide mission and aim for an apocalyptic explosion

My only worry with M.bombs is getting close enough to use them before the nasty behemoth shoots me to oblivion!

Two Space marines bikes squads can almost always take down a bandeblade as its main gun can only shoot one of them on the first turn and the bikes should be able to get to it on the second turn. If you enemy takes a Baneblade bid low and set up fast to get that first turn. Then turbo boost so those tankhunting bikes have a 3+ inv save. You'll be fine, make sure and have other threating stuff to to take some of the pressure off the bikes

Never thought about using bikes to kill em. Hmmm, I'm sure I can throw something diabolical toward the things. Threating as in say, a Daemon Prince?

And if you were playin SW (this is what selling yer soul to chaos does for you)you could have a scout squad pop up behind it with meltaguns and plasma pistols and a butt load of Melta bombs to hit it in the rear with...that is of course if yer opponent is dumb enough to leave it close to a table edge within his own deployment zone.....

There is also the possibility of getting to it with a deepstriking termy squad with lightning claws and thunder hammers(can chaos have these?)...hell if they can take down a titan they outa be able to take out a mere baneblade...LMAO...either way PF and melta combis are yer best bet...

Nope, sadly I don't get Thunderhammers. I am working on a Deep Striking termie squad, 10 men strong, 3 Powerfists, 3 Combi-meltas, and 2 Reapers.

I recommend having them use the forge world rules, which are much more balanced for normal game play. They are less destructive but still really good and they have a damage table that works. You have a much harder time dealing with Apocalypse Baneblades.

i don't know how to easily take out a baneblade. If u are playing apocalypse one of your plans would be to try and get a vortex grenade onto it.Assaulting it from the rear might work but if they are like me i back it up so you cant assault its rear without going off the board
