Default Leman Russ MKs?

Ok so I was wondering...

I know that in modern warfare there are many different marks for tanks. Like Panzer II Panzer III and Panzer IV (For example)

Now I know that there are many different variants for Leman Russ (Demolisher Vanquisher etc...) But would there be different models of the original Russ?

I dunno, its sorta like the MK Armours for the space marines.. They are all the same models but with little improvements.

Also there were Pre-Heresy Leman Russes, anyone see any of these or something.. Besides the ones in the Vostroyan article on their site

Fluff wise there are lots of MKs, further separated by the originating world they were constructed at. Sadly TT-wise it would be infeasible to have anything other than the basic Leman Russ as the differences between MKs can be so small (and sometimes entirely internal.

Yea that all makes sense. And its true, we do make our own MKs and all I mean I just extened the barrel on a FW Conquer turret (and but off the co-axe stormbolter)

There has only ever been one Leman Russ model produed by GW, thus it is still the ubquitous Mk1 chasis (as designed by the Primarch Leman Russ himself *cough*), mearly updated and tweaked into different patterns (i.e the origional Mars pattern, Alpha, Ryza, etc, etc.).
Taking this into account, a particular Leman Russ may be a Mk1 chasis, but with a Ryza pattern turret on top.
With this turret it could also be presumed that the patterns made by each forgeworld will evolve as well, thus this Mk1 chasis might have a Mk2 Ryza Pattern turret.

I may have over-complicated that, so think of it this way:
A Land Raider Crusader is still a Mk3 Land Raider, but it is has a Crusader pattern weapons outfit instead of the nomal one.
