| Corporal   |  Rough Rider models=bleh! The models imo don't look right. I mean they look mongolianish and that doesn't fit well in some armys (imagine some trying to save money by buying those for thier kreig army). Do any of you use alternatives?

 | I use Brettonian and Empire Knights for at least my PDF troops but otherwise I mostly leave rough riders alone mostly b/c I dont like the models. For my Krieg I go Armour heavy so as of now I have no Death riders.

| It's because they're from an entirely different regiment from the majority of the GW guard units. I can't remember which, but there are several guides out there on making Cadian rough riders.

| Ya I saw a cool looking unit made form cadians but I dont really think they fit my army so I keep them in my PDF force to have the excuse of using Empire and Bretonian Knights in 40k.

| Not only do rough rider models look silly and out of place, but come on, horses?! Seriously. The most easily spooked animal in existence is going to charge into close combat against aliens and daemons? I think not.

| Or Krieg Steeds... those are really the only ones that make sense fluff-wise. They are meant to be extremely resiliant and really mean.

| Hell I dont know why they dont just have Guard motorcycle units instead of horsemen... thats not exactly something new, ie WW2

| My unit of roughriders are on Space Marine Bikes! They actually look pretty cool and are cadian models! Its fun.........

|  bikes I have a motorcycle I use for my OLD SCHOOL cadians from another range called Shockforce. The Human army looked like the old Cadians and they had a motorcycle guy that was a cool looking model and fit right in with metal cadians. I realize they are not "legal" as they are not GW but they are good for ideas and for small garage games. They are not in production anymore I don't think but I have a bunch I got from Ebay and you might still be able to get them on ebay or Bartertown.
