Blog Entries: 1 | Railguns perhaps? Other than that, I dont see any appeal in the Tau. In fact, I dont see any appeal in any of the non-Imperium armies atm.

| The tau are a lackluster army heres one example. I left most of my good army at a friend's house and only had 30 to about 36 stormtroopers,3 pykers,3 commissars, enough regular troops for a vet squad,a command squad with one laser destroyer and a regular leman russ in a 2000 pt game in city fight meat grinder. my xeno enemy had two hammerheads, one sky ray,and several fire warriors and pathfinders with two groups of kroot and his HQ of battlesuits in the end he only killed off about one squads worth of storm troopers and destroyed my Leman russes battle cannon.I took out his army save for one pathfinder unit that stayed in one corner lesson-don't play with tau and buy space marines instead.

Blog Entries: 5 | Well given it was cityfight, I'd have bet on the guardsmen against any tau army...

| Tau have Mobility over IG, that is the big difference, that and the Tau's standard issue side arm is b'dass (the differences between Lasguns and Pulse Rifles are rather obvious I think)! I have both armies now mind you, and if it is a stand and see how much I can blow off the table then IG are for me, If I am going to be defending position IG all the way! But, for tactical style of play I chose Tau, they lend them selves to fine percision more efficiently I find (not that IG is lacking though) and, Commisar General Pereira... you still had a decent army, the Tau doesn't sound so solid, especially for Meatgrinder which the IG excell at! |

Blog Entries: 5 | ah. well regarding the previous post, tau have some trouble against SM. especially when their assault troops can survive your shooting by using cover and some good saving

| i absolutely agree Torquemada Coteaz, but the key to playing any army is being able to utalize the field and play the army/units smartly. IG have the same weakness against SMs/CSMs. so how is it that you overcome that weekness using IG (or Tau), lists can change, but points ballance out, its the tactics of the game I care about. |

| Tau never appealed to me. I don't mind them, but I doubt I'll ever play them. The IG on the other hand have potential...

Blog Entries: 1 | Grrrr, tau.. Emperor I dislike them. They took the only thing good for the guard, lottsa firepower! I am a devote Imperial Guard player, and I have grudges against the tau for being able to outshoot us with so much firepower.

Wow, Lynx, are all you Imperial Pigs as "well read" as you are? Explains why so many Imperials die in futile, stubborn resistance of the greater good... can't read their weapon's instructions, much less the orders to surrender. ![]() J/K J/K But seriously, I play Tau for one main reason: giant robots. I like Giant Robots, and Tau got'em. Well, that's the reason I got started with them. I continue to play Tau because they are a high firepower, high mobility army. I am considering adding auxiliaries from the Imperial List, however, for their high versatility. But as for Tau being pansies, someone should see my Firewarriors roll (like champs) sometimes. They've taken down Phoenix Lords, thankyaverymuch. | |
