not at all. i have no weapons with a longer ranger than 12". i never use bolters uness they are rapid firing. it works though. bellow for russ and then pile everything in. i mean railguns can only kill so many a turn.... and besdide if i deploy right my entire army gets a 5+ cover save (stormcaller)
btw the barnet doesd actually carry around the primer with him. on several occasions he has taken it out while at lunch, screamed heretic at somebody who made the slightest comment against the imperium and quoted the book. everyone at leicester is truly insane. im sure you ve met petey and now you know about the barnet. wait till we get to skye and his eating habits. must post a clip of that sometime...TJ special.....

i was a loyal imperium player for over a decade (before i bought an ork army)
running the full spectrum of armies all imperial
then i was looking through my tau dex and decided to give them a shot
i love the versatility of the army sure its a shooty army
but i run a pure tau army, mechanized
very aggressive and i lose half my games but after playing marines for 15 years i needed something different
i also played guard for years and they werent manouvereble enough
so my mechanized tau army has speed and fire power
and i love them
i still use my marines but i sold my old army and currently building a new one
if you have the ability to get a second army i recommend going drasticly different from your first
not only in style but allegience

nah i mean come on. runic charms allowing me to reroll failed saves, wolf guard have access to the armoury , everyone has counter charge, cant be outnumbered and all characters have 4 attacks and then bonuses.

oh how i love the specialist chapters of the emperium. the borderlin heretics of the black templars or the SW that will lets be honest spent to much time in the eye of terror. don't both those armies have certain problems with the inqusition due to there sketchy back ground. not that i have no love for them, i'm just say that they are borderline heretics that's all.

we arent boderline heretics we are only heretical to the high lords. we are loyal as hell to the allfather/emperor. as was suggested in wolfblade we should virus bomb terra. except the imperial palace. and the house of belisarius.
ps we havent spent any time in th eye of terra thats the 13th company. not the main army. maybe we are borderline but we are the best chapter after all. i mean smurfs, everyone has them, imperial fists, bright impossible yellow, Black templars already listed, dark angels are just fetishists, besides just being weird and not having any really cool equipment (maybe the jetbike) and don't have any properly charecterful units or characters, i mean they are basically the same as the normal marine codexes.
SW are unique, bearded, charecterful and have a huge history and lets face it the best primarch. he had a beard, got drunk and tried to hurl his spear at the moon. come on hes awesome.

So I'm just now starting up my first army loyal to the emperor. I have put it off playing other armies intead. Thinking it best to field non imperial forces, because a vast majority of players have imperialist armies. I thought it better to be the bad guy than force armies to fight each other in the name of the emperor. But Finally I realized that I'm more loyal in heart to the emperor (yes I like to dress up as a commissar.) So I started working on putting some gaurd together finally.

all the chapters have a great history filled with characters and quirks
and ive never seen and painting/ pics of Primarch Leman Russ with a beard EVER
in 16+ years
even the crappy6 model they made of him didnt have a beard

russ may not have had a beard in any pics or models, but in one of the space wolves books it mentions russ having a large beard. i agree some have charecter and a decent hitory but either have boring models, colour sheme or ridiculous rules (ultramarines, imperial fists, black templars and their dumb righteous zeal, hey dave got shot, do you wanna leave the bunker and head towards the armoured company?)
also the virus bombing idea wasn't actually mine. i just think it's a good idea. it was in wolfblade. (all my arguments do sem to be based on books don't they?)
to be declared excommunicate traitoris i think it is only the inquisition or the high lords that can do it. We haven't pissed off the high lords at all and the inquiition are afraid. after all ragnar really pissed of one as a blood claw and got bugger all punishment. the high lords wouldn't excommunicate such a powerful, prestigious chapter anyway> What have we done that was heretical?Name ten things. i dare you. I'll say this for the Tau... They have Style. Plus, for me they are the only army that doesn't erk me in terms of scale. As long as they keep their helmets on they look like they should (Ie. their head and feet aren't stupidly big... C'mon Guard look like their 4 foot nothing with heads that big... it's an army of midg... Little people)

I run... or will run at some point a Battle suit army (as GW doesn't make vehicles the right size either) just for the looks really. I'm not going to make the list very powerful at all... But DAMN I'll have fun playing it.

Dave is a dirty dirty little git and should be burned within his clothes.
He uses a 'cude in 400 pt game! I thought it was the cute little speeder thing. But thats a pirahna. I got demolished.
I can see the appeal of Tau. But at the moment I love some of the more less played chapters.

ive been thinking about that for a while. i was thinking librarian with force staff for torso upwards with added bolter instead of book then chop off legs with saw and then somehow green stuff 7 tyranid scything talons on and one bionic. technically wrong as sarpedons legs are jointed but its an attempt.
